What Students Say

Likes

The most favourite factor about my college is Diversity.It offers diverse culture,activities for overall development.
The other most likeable thing is that here all students ,peers are very talented,They inspire and motivates everytime.
Faculty is very open minded and up to date ,they try their best to connect with the students.

Dislikes

The one area which can be improved is time table.The schedule is not very productive or effective.

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is old and rigid,they still teach out dated syllabus and methods and syllabus is updating very slowly. But with the introduction of SEC and VAC and GE subjects ,students have different options which aligns with NEP.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 30000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

1st year fees-29,735 Breakdown of fee- Tuition fee-180 Admission fee-5 University development fee-1500 Electricity and water-1400 Rest charges are for additional essential factors and services such as I card,wifi,library development, library membership, student union fee etc. There is no category wise fee in this college.

Campus Life

The annual function name is "Confluence". It is most awaited fest for all HRCians and other DU students. It invites big personalities and offer a super experience. There are many sports available in this college such as basketball,cricket,badminton, carrom,football etc. There are many societies, ngos run by students and convenors . Many seminars ,talks are organized for the betterment of students. All classrooms have proper Air conditioners.

Admission

I choose this college on basis of NIRF ranking and other influential works done by this college. The societies and the exposure are the biggest attractive forces for students to get in this college. Another factor for preferring this college is that it is co educational. The process of examination is simple yet authentic .

Faculty

If the students in a class are exceeding 100 then the group division occurs,means two teachers for 50-60 students.The open mindedness and Progressive mindset of professors is really appreciable.Faculty of english is amazing and most influential enough. Exams schedule is good and the exams are easy to moderate level if we study in a proper way.

Night Life

The surrounding of our college is quite chalantric as there is always chaos and fun created by students,which make the overall area sound and lively.There are numerous food spots for students.A very famous market is located just in front of college. Night view of campus is quiet aesthetic and pleasant.

A world in its own

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements in the 6th semester. Few companies which have offered placements in our college are deloitte, bain, accenture etc. the highest and average placement being 3600000 and 840000 respectively. My plans after this degree is to opt for MBA

Course Curriculum Overview:

• The structure of the course was from basic to advanced. The structure made sure that all the basics are cleared specially for those who did not have psychology as a subject in class 12. • The course is well-tuned with the practical aspects that makes us better equipped for tackling real world problems. • Inclusion of field trips every semester should be implemented for better insight about the materials in the course. • Midterms are held in between our semester that is of moderate level that consists of 1 or 2 units, usually for 30 marks. The end semester exams are held at the end of the semester for around 90 marks which has higher level of difficulty.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When I was choosing this course in preference list I found it interesting to study the society, it's main aspect and concepts included in it . I read about Marx , max etc and found some interest in it . The curriculum does tell concept relevant information society but I feel like there is a lot of need to research in Indian societal concept and their work and interaction. Teaching method can be interesting, interactive rather than being boring concept reading in class

Placement Experience:

I feel every student needs to work hard on themselves first and equip themselves with skills which could land them a good placement. There are companies which are partnering with the college and admit interns and applicants by the end of the year. I personally have not applied for the internships or the placements but I intend to in the future.

From the 6th semester student become eligible for the placements. Companies visited are KPMG , Adobe , JP Morgan etc.Average package of my college is 16 lakhs ( i am not very sure as I am a first year student). My plans after degree is to pursue higher education.

Covering all the aspects to know of the college

Placement Experience:

The college has a placement cell and provide a very good rate of placement for the courses like b.com ,bsc and some for the courses such as geography. Placements take place in the 5th sem if you are doing three year degree or in the 7th sem if you are doing four year degree. The number of companies visited were about 80 to 90 the names of the recruiters is as Google, Accenture, Amazon, Talent Serve, Deloitte. The highest package was of 24 lpa and the median salary is 5 lpa the lowest package was of 2 lpa . 60 % of students are placed in placement. My plans after getting the degree is will prefer higher education

I got this college in the first allotment itself as I put it at a higher preference. Some other colleges I applied to were lady shri ram college, daulat ram college, atma ram sanatan dharma college etc. I did not opt for them because my college provided better infrastructure. A colleges which I did not get accepted into is hindu college for which I needed a better score. I chose this college because of its strong base of commerce after Srcc it was my priority. On my first preference there was srcc as it is the top college for commerce but on my second preference it was hansraj college that i got i didn't get into srcc as my marks were less then cutoff but yeah i am very happy with hansraj college. The admission process is based on CUET scores and DU's CSAS system where we can apply in all the colleges and course combination. Merit decides the college+course from our preference list.
