Remarks

It was smooth.I got admission to the third list. There was proper assistance in guiding. there were volunteers to guide us. systematically arranged for different courses. positive vibes. on the orientation day, everything was explained to us.It was held in the auditorium of the college. college magazine was given to every student.

highly qualified faculty, best teaching methods total 6 semesters. semester exams are generally conceptual. it consists of two parts - internal assessment for 25 marks and final exam for 75 marks. it is simple and easy to pass the exams. it takes considerable hard work to score well.

Many companies came to our college for offering internships 2-3 times a year. most of them offer pretty decent stipends and learning experiences. generally, students from each course get internships in their preferred field .it is always a good idea to go for an internship.

Training and placement cell manages the internships and placements of the college. many reputed companies like Deloitte, wipro, paytm etc. visited the campus for placements. The average package is 4 lakhs per annum.

college fees are around 27000 per year. My experience in this college has been so wonderful. there are scholarships as well. you can know more about it on the college website.Regular internships are offered by the training and placement cell.

campus life is very decent. there are many societies like Meraki, infinity etc. there are academic societies as well. for example arthashastra for economics department,urja for commerce department, etc.

Dyal Singh College is splendid!

Placement Experience:

Dyal Singh Placements aren't that hefty that I can boast a lot about them. Since I have already mentioned in previous section that I want the deepest knowledge of political science and the only way, one can gain that is by doing masters. Coming to DSC placements over 30% students of Political Science from our college are placed via campus.

Vivekananda College is a dream of every girl!

Placement Experience:

Media people as Hindi Hons students obviously have chane there or researches. Some even pursue freelance things as college provides the perfect platform to gain confidence and showcase the skills. Otherwise research or political expert roles are the only roles offered to Hindi Hons students. Since I want a complete command I will be doing masters in Hindi Hons.

DSC is a decent college!

Placement Experience:

DSC placements are not that great as around 30-40% students are placed and that is how it is here. Most students of Political Science go for higher studies or get job opportunities in political consultancy or journalism.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love the course I have opted for in the College. I had so much interest in literature since I was in school, hence made the decision to opt for English Honours in my undergraduate degree. The curriculum of this particular course is easy to get, teaches practical knowledge. We have Internal Assesment and Continuous Assessment before theory exams. In continuous assessment, we are given some topic to make presentation or a group discussion from our sense of knowledge and experience. Speaking up in a crowd and in front of the whole class gives the practical knowledge of being there, present, confidence and speak up your thoughts I would love if we can also watch theatre within the curriculum as we read various plays but watching and analysing them would be great. Mostly the exams are held in December and May, they are moderate level of examination and I have found absolute no difficulty sitting in them and writing. We get 3 hours for the core subjects, and 1 hour for our respective VACs, SECs and AECs.
