I take admission through CET, organized by the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology. CET is Organized by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology among various colleges which are affiliated with the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology. Mathematics in 10+2 class is necessary for taking admission to BSc.IT. I got On-House campus of the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology.

I like programming and technical things under the software that's why I choose BSc.IT. Each subject has separate faculty. The intake students in my course are 30 students. Faculty have good knowledge in their own field. The teaching method is moderate some problems occur for students who come from outside of West Bengal. Semester exams were timely it's moderate to pass the exams.

Internships Opportunities

Many Internships are available in the college for students. The role offered by the company is junior Software Developer, Junior Network Security Engineer, Junior Data Management Engineer and junior web page designer and so on.

Placement Experience

From the 5th semester and 8th-semester students are eligible for campus placement. Approx 15 companies are visited on campus. The highest package is 7 lakh CTC and the average package is 5 lakh CTC. 60% of Student's got placed in companies. I pursuing higher education after completing my current degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The semester fee is 20,000. The hostel fee is 9,750 per semester. Scholarships are available for West Bengal students provided by the West Bengal government. Campus jobs are available for students like web development of college official website and they got money for those.

Campus Life

A huge number of books are available in the library as well as E-library. Digital classrooms are available. Extracurricular activities like Music, Band, Cooking, Cricket, and so on activities are conducted by the university among the student.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel is available for both fooding and lodging. The quality of food is moderate in the canteen. A semi-furnished room is available in a hostel with a Wi-Fi connection. You have to fill a slip if you want a hostel facility.

Placement Experience:

Computers are so vast that masters is mandatory and therefore I have certain plans for that. However big scale IT companies come here and students of Computer science Hons have had placements worth 6-10 lakhs easily. My plans are to appear for the job interviews but not taking any as I want to study more.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was well-structured, and each semester, there were projects and presentations that also helped to test our knowledge. I got influenced as the curriculum provides us with financial economics, political economics, and Applied mathematics. The level of the exams was decent, related to the course. They could improve in teaching more practical knowledge and projects related to that, instead of only learning in a theoretical way.

Placement Experience:

Placements and job oppurtinities are less since this is an undergraduate college offwering honours degree. Though there is a placement and career councelling cell that looks over this matter. Placements are offered only in a few subjects, such as industrial chemisrty and computer science. The rate of placements are very high and come with high packages. Though I am not interested in placements, but I have started taking preparations for compititive exams. Such preparations are very supported here, rather than jobs and placements.
