Remarks
1. At first there will be an aptitude test(UPST). 2. Then few students will be selected for Interviews. 3. Combined marks of UPST, Interview, and Board marks will be considered for the selection. They will publish 3 main lists and after that there will be spot rounds.
Course Curriculum Overview
1. This course is a research-oriented course. It offers research projects from the end of 4th year. 2. The faculty: student ratio is around 1:5. 3. All the faculty members post-doctorate fellows. The teaching level is very high and research-oriented. Students should study hard. 4. Term exams are very timely and of standard hardness.
Internships Opportunities
1. Research project in Homi Bhaba Institute. 2. Research project in Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics. 3. Indian Institute for Space Science and technology. And many more research internships are there for IACS students.
Fees and Financial Aid
1. Fee Structure: 21000+10000(ADM) - for the first three years 19000+10000(ADM) - for last two years 2. Scholarships: i) INSPIRE ii) JBNSTS iii) KVPY iv) Many other scholarships are available.
Campus Life
1. There is no fest. 2. Any book you want of any time(even early 1900) is available in their library. Any journal you want is available. 3. Sports ground, gym everything is available there. 4. RSA is there .
Hostel Facilities
1. Hostels have a single room and double bedroom both. A washing machine, the geezer is available in each floor. LAN connection is there in every room. Room service and food mess is there. 2. Meal is of unusually good quality. They give chicken thrice a week. Mutton every Sunday. Biriyani once in a month.
