Admission to the programs offered at SVU Kolkata is done on the basis of scores in the qualifying examination, except Ph.D.

For admission to the Ph.D. program, candidates need to clear any one of the UGC National Eligibility Test (NET), State Eligibility Test (SET), and SVU Research Eligibility Test (RET) followed by an interview process.

Yearly fees structure and scholarship

I am currently doing bsc biotechnology from swami vivekananda university. The total course fee is 2,95,000 rupees that is 30000 rupees for each semester, at the time of addmission we have to pay 85000 rupees that is 55000 for addmission and 30000 for 1st semester fees we also have to pay regestration fee of 4000 rupees at the time of regestration,out of all 1000 rupees is also neccessary for exam fees for each semester that is 8000 rupees for each semester exam.Talking about another course which is btech cse which my one of the friend is also opting ,the total course fee of this course is 3,20,000 rupees that is 35000 for each semester for this course we have to pay 95000 rupees at the time of addmission , regestration fees and exam fees is same like the earlier one.the university also offers the swami vivekananda merit cum means SVMCM scholarship. The west bengal state government provides this scholarship. The scholarship amount is depend on the course. for madhyamik passed students the scholarship amount is 6000 rupees.

College fest and various activities

the overall experience is good the college oraganize most of the festivals like prak sharodiya,freshers party,winter fest,the college also have the department of sports which includes football teams cricket teams etc

Hostel facilities provided by the college

honestly saying hostel facilities is not good enough as the hostel is located outside the college campus . there are four beds place in a one single room so there is not enough space inside the room , ther is no washroom located in every room so whole one flat students has to use same washrooms however two washrooms are located in one flat and also there is no AC facilities

The faculty is very approachable they answer every question of the students,as the local language of the location is bengali so most of the faculty speaks in bengali but its not that they could not speak hindi or english but we have to say them that mam or sir i could not able to understand the language so could you please communicate in hindi or in english..

i find this college on collegedekho.com,as per my financial budget this college fits and this college was not so far than my homeplace also this college was offering the course which i want to persue so i opt this college

Night Life

the nightview of the college is very beautiful with full of lights and beautifull scenario. The college offers gym cafeterias library .the hostel mess located inside the college campus , i personally stay in hostel when me and my friends enter the college campus at night for dinner the view of the campus looks very brightfull and great.

The college have a very beautiful canteen and lot of eateries stories
Every year the college organises concerts and fests for students which are very exciting

Admission:

The admission process in the college was very smooth. Swami Vivekananda University provides a complete course and supportive faculties that is why I chose is college and the cost the admission fees were very affordable.

One thing I like most about the college is they organize sports every year every kind of games

Dislikes

Library have no useful books and you can't use your laptop with charger there
Uhm there is not so much for dislike but there are minor problems are there

Admission:

I hear about this college from my aunty and after seeing the fees structure it is under budget I didn't apply for any other college so didn't get the rejection Our college is autonomous when I got admission here I just have to paid the admission fees and nothing more

The college campus is very nice very green and canteen food is good
The classes have digital board room is very spacious for many students

Dislikes

Best college is very very strict unnecessary rules everyday uniform.
There is no charging spot in the library how am I supposed to charge my laptop to study my laptop to study

Admission:

This college is very affordable compared to other colleges the curriculum is also good and the Teachers are also good and the campuses also good. I did not apply to many other colleges but among the colleges which I applied this was the best it was affordable the campus was good teachers were also very supportive The admission in the college is very easy merit based.

The college campus is quite large a good library and play ground.

Admission:

The main reason i took admission in the college was due to low fees. I applied to sit Siliguri and was accepted there and also some ither colleges here in Kolkata but the fees were too much so i went for this college. The admission process was simple just merit based from class 12 and 10 and my jee percentile All other exams like JEE mains and WBJEE is accepted here.

I am persuing swmi Vivekananda University because there are huge deference between other colleges fees , so I am admission here,but the college is not really good when I am know after admission. My suggestion if you get better college then admission there.

I liked the faculties and the facilities that this university provides us.
I liked the atmosphere and vibe the university has.

Admission:

I earlier applied to take admission in BTEC computer science engineering Amity university Noida and Patna due to my prior percentage I wasn't able to be selected so I decided to take admission in this university because of their feasible fees structure and free friendly environment along with good and educated teachers with a decent average package the fee structure is the main reason of my first priority of this college over over the other colleges I was interested in that admission process of this college is quite easy and can be done with ease with the counsellors you are having students does from here only.

Infrastructure and campus infrastructure in comparison to other universities is very high in quality.

Dislikes

Humidity of this place is high, students of other states may find difficulties.

Admission:

I was finding many colleges but I haven't applied in any college. The first college I choose is Swami Vivekananda University Barrackpore. And when I visit this university I found it very beautiful and well all faculties are too good. I can't reject this college after saying this. Management for all activities are too good. Taste of food in the canteen is also too good will like everything. If we talk about the management for living here is like college provide hostels if we don't want to live in the hostel weekend live in PG or flat everything available here in this area also many messes and hotels available here for eating food. We can take admission by giving the examination slide West Bengal JEE and weekend also take admission directly by contacting The counselor we have to just give some money like admission charges and registration fees in starting and after that we can pay the semester phase in every 6 months maybe in December or January. If you talk about the fees the fees is very normal as comparable to all colleges. My experience about this college is too good and if I want to say it's excellent outstanding I like this college too much stitching skills and everything are all too good.
