Course Curriculum Overview

5

Though the bachelor of science is pursued by someone who wants to research and develop some idea to help the modern world. The primary decision was to contribute to the society like the great scientists who have done so before. The curriculum provides a balanced approach of both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, theoretical knowledge from classes, assignments, homeworks and exams. Practical knowledge through the different workshops that are held in the college auditorium or online with successful men of the field who are brought as guests in them, from renowned scientists to great thinkers we have met a lot of them.

Fees and Financial Aid

The 3-year course fee was 3,20,000 and this was distributed in 6 six semester for 44,300. Although, there is a scholarship of 20000 for good score in Aadamas University Entrance Test and scoring 80% and above in class 12 boards.

Campus Life

4

The festivals are celebrated within the campus and all of them with batchmates and with quite fun and stage performances are organised by the different clubs in the college and once must say they are a treat to be in. Though, I have spoken about the the quality of library we have and I would mention here that there is no such books of someone's particular department and study requires that would not be available in the liaberies, there is an ipad system where you can search witht he book name or author name or title and find the where the book is available and locate it too. The classrooms are equipped with smart boards and projectors, the labs have computers with all necessary software that the course of the student demands and can be used by the students anytime. The sporting facilities are greatz there are 6 fields in the campus with one professional cricket and one professional footbal ground where you will find the College team practices and I can say as a member of the college cricket team that if you are really keen to make any sport as your careerz the institution is there to provide you the best possible ways and coaches to do so. There are many clubs, I was a member of the music group where we had weekly jamming session and had organised several fest and programs

Hostel Facilities

5

The hostel is the best among all I mentioned this is more of hotel to be honest, there is housekeeping which cleans your rooms everyday in the morning before classes, then water drums are kept in three different floors in each of the floors with ample supplements that you can never run out of water to fill. The bathrooms are like cricket grounds, we friends used to play short hand cricket with sponge ball outside the hostel bathroom, the water is available anytime I have myself taken bath from anywhere 2 am in the morning to 11 pm in the night, we have geysers installed in each shower, the bathrooms are also cleaned by the housekeepers everyday. The food for the hostellers in the mess is beyond words the best part is you can have as much you want, we had all of the things if somebody wants to eat healthy he can brown bread with butter boiled eggs and milk, then there is chole bhature maggi cornflakes also available at time with dosa and other items and then we had special dinner in Sunday's from special fried with chilli chicken with sweets tk anything we had it all. The hostel given with the facilities is quite affordable as far as I remember the costliest room which was single room AC was of 12,500

Admission

Currently, Adamas University is the best ranked private university in the whole eastern india and ranks in top 10 in all over India. Though, the most important perks is not the ranking, the ambience and the atmosphere that the institution provides with the facilities, services and skills is something to die for. This institution feel make you feel like you are in home even though you are not. The admission process is to take the Adamas University Entrance Test and then if you qualify it with then with the marks obtained in it and class 12 would be the requirements for the admission.

Faculty

5

The faculty-to student ratio in our department was very high and each individual student is alsoel designated a mentor that would track the overall growth of the student, who should be among the one who teaches them although the professors are always generally available and are very happy to help, the mentor are different through conversation they become like family and when you are far away from home, at times, it is necessary, The exams are taken in semester basis two semester each year, we had mid sem and end exams for semester so 4 exams in a year. The mid sems are 30 marks test ( though it varies department to department) and end sems are of 50 and 20 marks for laboratory work in internal assessment. They are generally pass but tricky to score good although a student attending classes regularly and doing assignments will be able to good marks easily.

Night Life

4

There is a gym that had a fees of 500 in our times, the equipments and trainers of the gym are if next level profesional atheletes who have played for the country and have themselves been renowned at their times used to train each of us and it would be done differently for each individual as required. There is a departmental store where you can buy snacks, there is a restaurant where you must try the chicken wings (personally recommended), which is open from the morning to night and has variety of options available, then we have a Baskin Robbins where you get icecream at discounted rates, there is cafe coffee day and then we have another evening snack shop that serves all snakcs possible. This is in addition to the food court we have this was more for us hostellers but day scholars can pay and have their own food, the menu of the hostel would be given by the warden during the time of admission and is also given in the notice board below of the hostel.

College does provide internship opportunities both through the placement cell as well as department faculty. Semester 5 and Semester 7 students are eligible for placements. Average package is about 5.5 lakh per annum for microbiology course. Although placement percentage is on the lower side majority of students go for higher studies. Many prepare for exams like GATE, IIT JAM, etc.

college placements are good in this college with a number of good financial and consultancy firms coming in with new gen companies as well in the service and sales industry. moreoever getting a good placement in a top financial or consultancy placement requires a POR in a good society as a criteria, its not really required but adds to your chances of getting it. moreover you require to participate in a number of case study competitions for the same as well. my plans after graduation is probably working for a year or two after which i plan on doing my MBA. around 50-60% who apply get a placement.

In today's competitive job market it becomes important for the college to not just help students get degrees but also provide them with placements and internships so that they can have the experience needed to stand at a competitive footing with the rest of the candidates in the world. To look into this, St. Xavier's College has a Placement Cell run by Placements officer Mr. Niladri Sinha under whose guidance, various companies visit the college regularly looking for capable young minds to take under their wing and help provide them with the necessary exposure and experience so that they can combat any obstacles that they face.

The college offers good placements for economis. Students in their final year are eligible for campus placements and there is a cell dedicated to placements. Many students do not opt for placements and go for higher studies but many students who opt for it, get placed with decent packages. Many well-known companies visit the campus as well. I wish to explore my options after completing the degree as of now.

We have a placement cell helping students get placed. They keep posting opportunities like internships and fellowships throughout the year to groom students and give them exposure and experience. Placements can go to very high packages like those in Data Science, Big 4 consulting or core finance or banking jobs. CAs, CFAs and FRMs do well in the placements. The highest packages could surpass 12-13 LPA and median packages are close to 6-7 LPA. DE Shaw, Zomato, Myntra, Meesho, TCS and McKinsey are some top companies coming here.
