Remarks

I applied for Venkateshwara College, ARSD College, and AryaBhatta College, and Dyal Singh College as I wanted a college near my place and according to my marks, Aryabhatta was the best choice. I applied in the unreserved category so I had no quota. The admission process was the age-old process of Delhi University in which a cutoff comes in the newspaper and those who have secured marks eligible enough for that cutoff have to report to that college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course due to my great interest in literature and fictional stories. The faculty-student ratio was 1:20. As per the standards of delhi university all the faculty members were doctorate holders with more than 10 years of experience in their respective domains. There is a semester system with one set of internal examinations and one presentation/ Story telling of your favourite novel during the whole semester. It is very difficult to score marks in this.

Placement Experience

2.5

Students are eligible for placements from the 5th semester with basic criteria being more than 6 cgpa and no active backlogs. Generally the placements are very scarce when it comes to the literature courses as compared to the management courses where company usually offers an average salary of 3-4Lpa CTC. I plan to pursue masters after this.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no fee hike at all in any Delhi university colleges. You get financial assistance as per your reservation category i.e. reserved categories have lesser fees to pay as compared to unreserved category students.

Campus Life

4

Every society conducts its own events which are quite unique to see here as other colleges organize only 1 fest but here on the campus you will see that every society whether drama, sports or literary organizes its own fest during the months of February and March. There are no luxurious amenities present on the campus but the ground is quite spacious. They have dramatics society namely 'rangmanch' and other societies like literary society, events society an entrepreneur society.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is rigid, teaching methods are not immersive and are boring. As a humanities student, curriculum is more about knowing different theories and how they are applicable in the contemporary world. Teaching methods should be more immersive.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Not curriculum but i had humanities back then in school and i love political science anyday so i just picked it up. As far as the second point is concerned so political science is all about real world issues. You step out of your home and every action you do is shaped by your political decisions i.e democracy. Improvements could be done in arrangement of syllabus. Frequency and timing is perfect but the difficulty level should be increased.

Was interested in political science, how it affects the life around. Not very well . Mostly theoretical, not very keen on contemporary aspects but does build understanding of ongoing events . More real world examples and less focus on HPT.

From 6th sem students become eligible for placement cells.I have not many ideas about how the placement works in my college, though the average package is between INR 3 LPA to INR 5 LPA. The percentage of students getting placement is almost 70 percent. My plans after getting the degree is going for cuet pg to get admission for postgraduation courses in Delhi... particularly JNU
