Entrance Preview

I tool ISI JEE entrance examination. I never came to know how much I scored in entrance examination; ISI never reveals that; neither they shares rank. ISI only sends selection letter. I scored 76% in M.Stat. I opted for this particular college as this is the best college in ASIA in its curriculum.

Course Curriculum Overview

My college focuses on research and all subjects are tough in deep details aiming that pupil would go for research.

Internships Opportunities

I used to get Rs 500 / month for B. Stat and Rs 750 / month during M. Stat.

Placement Experience

Excellent placement opportunities each student used to get 3 to 4 offers.

College Events

Annual cultural celebration in college. Sports events in hostel: Football tournament, Cricket Tournament, TT tournament, Contract Bridge tournament.

Hostel Facilities

Excellent hostel and meal was also good everybody gets hostel accommodation.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Exam Structure

Monthly class test and semester based (6 months). Our days were full of study. We hardly got room for leisure.

Faculty

Faculties are extremely good and they hold deep knowledge.

Placement Experience:

Actually this is a general degree University , so I must mention that placement facalities are not so good. But yes , Job Fair is organised in University by some external agencies which offer jobs varying 2-2.5 lakhs per annum . But in the university most of the students do not accept that jobs. Half of the students are more interested on the higher studies. So ahet completing the fourth semester they prepare for PhD. And the another half are preparing for central government sponsored exams like CGL, CHSL, RRB, SBI , IBPS, LIC etc. University has a significant number of students who have qualified for Government Competitive exams.

Actually Some of the Local Companies & Private banks Offer placements which are averagely worth 250000/-. Some of the Students appear for it , but the Number is Very less. Actually In Present Circumstances , Most students wants a stable Government, Especially Central Gov job . So they Prepare for exams like SSC , SBI , IBPS, LIC , RRB etc.

Niper Kolkata: from starting to end

Placement Experience:

2nd year students are eligible for the campus placement. Sai, Hetero, mendine, dr. Reddys etc companies visities for the campus placement. Offers ranges from 5-12 lpa. 60% students gets placed, 10% goes for higher studies and others get job off campus in my department. Other departments has 100% placement. My plans are pHd from Niper as it provides vast knowledge and instrumental exposure.

My decision to choose this course depended on the fact that this course provides you with the opportunity to get various jobs in the industries with a high lpa. But this college does not help much in that aspect. All I had to do was myself. It is my humble opinion that the institution should improve its guidance in the area of its teaching methods. The exams were twice a year and were quite difficult on their own.

I also applied to other colleges in engineering through jee mains but couldn't get the cut-off marks cleared . The admission process of ISI is through ISI admission test .this test has great toughness and only tastes mathematics of 10+2 level.
