i am interest in statsistics and data science, and isi provides top quality education in maths. Curiculum here prepares for real world applications too. Exams are held every month and difficulty level is tough and needs daily studies

students become eligible for campus placements as soon as they reach last semester, that is last semester of 4th year. highest package was 2cr offered. almost all students get placed here at isi kolkata

yearwise fees is approx. 2 lakhs for general category students, but for category students, SC , ST , obc , pwd , the fees is zero for them.there are many scholarship programs, merit based and category based

we have feshers fest held every year for freshers and one yearly fest. Books are available in our library. technology is quite advanced in our college isi kolkata, some classes are online and most are offline.

Admission

i applied for nit and iit through jee mains and jee advanced. I was getting both nits and iits but still chose isi kolkata because of my interest in maths. No i didnt get rejection from any colleges .

Faculty

student to faculty ratio here at isi kolkata is approximately 1:36. Faculty are generally very helpful. i didnt like the fact that there are way too many classes. Every month we have exams, and exams are quite tough and needs daily study

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was well-structured, and each semester, there were projects and presentations that also helped to test our knowledge. I got influenced as the curriculum provides us with financial economics, political economics, and Applied mathematics. The level of the exams was decent, related to the course. They could improve in teaching more practical knowledge and projects related to that, instead of only learning in a theoretical way.

Placement Experience:

Placements and job oppurtinities are less since this is an undergraduate college offwering honours degree. Though there is a placement and career councelling cell that looks over this matter. Placements are offered only in a few subjects, such as industrial chemisrty and computer science. The rate of placements are very high and come with high packages. Though I am not interested in placements, but I have started taking preparations for compititive exams. Such preparations are very supported here, rather than jobs and placements.

Pros and cons of ISI

I also applied to other colleges in engineering through jee mains but couldn't get the cut-off marks cleared . The admission process of ISI is through ISI admission test .this test has great toughness and only tastes mathematics of 10+2 level.
