Remarks

Aryabhatta College is one of the youngest and fastest growing colleges of Delhi University. It is centrally located, opposite Anand Niketan which is one of the poshest areas of Delhi. We have 15+ societies/clubs which have grown well. Also, we have a collection of versatile courses ranging from Commerce, Business Management, Economics, Business Economics, Computer Science, Political Science, English, Psychology, etc. In our College, Every Department has its own kind of feel good factor and shining. Belonging to the Business Economics department I can tell how close and loving everyone is in our department. We call us the BBE family and when we say family we mean it to be a family. Though I was not satisfied with the College when it was allotted to me but eventually knowing everyone I have kind of fell in love with my college friends. Our college does not provide a modern Infrastructure but it is in the process and might not be big enough but can accommodate 1500+ students.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Being an IIT-JEE aspirant I never thought of choosing BUSINESS ECONOMICS as my majors but eventually, in my mid 12th I realised my potential in management studies and I started looking at my options obviously the first option was to go for IPM and then DU-JAT, Nmat etc. So I ended up at Delhi University finally and it is totally worth it. Aryabhatta College is relatively new to most of the college providing BBE and BMS but keeps up the mark of Delhi University. The faculty are well versed with their Papers and very friendly. Most of the Professors have their doctorate in their respected field or are in the process of getting one. Even though studying through an online platform I haven’t seen teachers slouch a little bit and they are always on their toes for solving doubts and queries. The faculty to student ratio is around 1:9 I believe. We only have end semester exams with 2-4 internal exams. The distribution of marks is described as 75+25 among sem. And Internal. It is not difficult to score.

Internships Opportunities

4

Our college Placement & Internship cell regularly brings a load of companies for the internship (10-25 companies every month) also they have an Internship Fair every year where 50+ companies with 20+ Profiles such as Business Development trainee (executive and sales), HR Intern, financial analyst, content writer, sale, UX/UI designer, Android developer etc. Companies that come to hire interns also offer PPO to the final year students. Stipend offered to the students is between Rs 5-25 thousand.

Placement Experience

3.5

Aryabhatta College is one of the youngest college of Delhi University and growing day by day. The placement & Internship cell of our college is one of the most active cells. They work hard to bring the best companies around the corporate world and have been successful too. Companies that have visited the college for placement are KPMG, BYJU’s, McKenley and Rice, Wipro, ZOMATO, Aston Carter, ExtraMarks, FIS global, Lido and several others. No. of Offers: 150+ Average package: 3.5-4.5 LPA Highest offer: 13 LPA (CTC) Most of the students who apply for the Placement drive end up finding a job in some of the other company. According to my getting a Placement after a Bachelors degree is not worth it and one should go for masters and gain more knowledge before going into the corporate world and that will help in the long run.

Fees and Financial Aid

Studying at Delhi University is not considered to be expensive as it is a centrally funded university. The fee hike policy is transparent and does not change frequently most of the courses fee is under Rs 15 thousand per annum except professional courses such as BBE, BMS, Computer Science they cost around Rs 23-25 thousand per annum which is generally affordable. Our college does provide scholarships but which are listed on the Delhi University website and they are mostly merit Based and harder to obtain due to such high competition. Our college Placement & Internship cell is very active and brings 25+ internship every month and those who find it difficult can avail these internships for a good amount of stipend i.e. around Rs 5-25 thousand per months.

Campus Life

5

Aryabhatta College has one of the most active crowds across Delhi University. Students here are driven to get recognised and also get their college to get recognised as one of the best colleges in and around Delhi University. Aryabhatta college does not only have scholarly clubs and societies but also co-curricular and career-building societies too like virtuoso (Music), Rangmanch (Dramatics), Nibs and brushes (art), book club (literary), Marketing Cell, TheStartUp Club, Mind Over Matter(Economics) and more. The clubs give an enhanced experience for the future and give a realistic approach to life. Our College features fests for every department. Aryabhatta College is most renowned for BBE departments Sports fest ‘Roister’. It is a 4 days event with all the colleges Delhi colleges with BBE courses participate. It is a surreal experience to be a part of it. It is a student-driven event and everything is managed by the students of Aryabhatta college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It DU, so i think for many students it comes down to if you are able to make it to cutt off list. So my decision was based on it. I cleared the cutt off list for english hons so i took it. I wanted to make my way for govt job, so it was all about getting a degree regardless of what subject i was getting. I think curriculum just make you educated enough to get to know but its the college life that make you come face to face with the real world. exams every 6 months i.e every semester i think its good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really like Human Geography which let me to opt for this paper. Besides theory papers, we also have practical papers every semester through which we conduct surveys, interviews, research which helps us in preparing for the real world applications as well as further academic pursuits if we want to go in the field of Remote sensing or GIS. I feel that for papers including research or management, we should be showcasing how we can mitigate them or adapt in such scenarios and also make drafts for writing a research for further pursuits. However, as the time is limited it is quite understandable as to why its not conducted. We have two exams in a year and they are quite relevant and easy

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good and may be seen as average in aspect of my college . I selected my course as I saw myself holding potential in the field of language , English was my strong interest. The curriculum prepares a basic and needed knowledge for everyone accordingly and yes , it may be seen as an important aspect in higher education, experiences from professors and teachers is shared by live demonstrations and examples in order to achieve a good understanding. The improvement in the curriculum may be that of a much regular based classes as there is a frequent cut in classes and sometimes some teachers may slack during the day cancelling classes and stuff . The frequency of exams and timings are arranged and not much complicated related to my course and difficulty may be considered moderate .
