Remarks

The good side of the college is its infrastructure compared to other colleges in the area. Very few colleges entertain a master's course in microbiology and it's one of the best. Application occurs through both the merit test and application-based test. The academic side of the college is average, labs are good, and the teachers are friendly and help a lot which I liked the most.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I wanted to perform a Master's as I am looking forward to Ph.D. There are 8 teachers in our faculty so the student-teacher ratio is more than 0.75. Most of the faculty has completed a Ph.D. while others are on the verge of completion. Some teachers give logical questions of Csir-Net level during exams and it exposes our knowledge well. Exams are conducted semester wise and if you study well you can pass.

Internships Opportunities

4

I completed 2 projects in my house during summer project time allotted to me by the department. It was very smooth. As it was in the house we were at full liberty to do things and it was a great experience. We discussed with the teacher what we should do and did it successfully under their guidance. There was also a poster competition, seminars conducted analyzing our work. Overall it was very good and effective. Your bonds with teachers also nourished well due to this.

Placement Experience

1

There are no such placements activities in this college as only 3 departments have masters' degrees rest have an only bachelor's degrees. So do not expect that much into this topic from this College. You can study and earn a degree here but jobs are not offered as there is no such placements happening over here.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is semester wise around INR 5000/-,most of which is exam fees. As it is a government college so fee structure is easily bearable. Scholarships provided by the government is also there which can be achieved via college if you have the requirements met.

Campus Life

4

There are various events. Fests are conducted every year namely DHUN, SAGNIK. A one-week long quiz, various sports competitions are held yearly. Science congresses, government-affiliated seminars are held quite often. You are made volunteer of some and responsibilities are given. Proper food and reward are given for your hard work. The library is well equipped. On-campus, you can play cricket, badminton, football, etc. The student's section also has a carrom board, table tennis set up.

Interview Experience

3.5

The application can be through merit and can be through the entrance as well. There is nothing much of GD/PI but they ask you about your previous college and why you chose this college etc. Casual questions are asked which does not need prior preparation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My decision to choose this course depended on the fact that this course provides you with the opportunity to get various jobs in the industries with a high lpa. But this college does not help much in that aspect. All I had to do was myself. It is my humble opinion that the institution should improve its guidance in the area of its teaching methods. The exams were twice a year and were quite difficult on their own.

This year, three students of our batch, including me, got an internship for three months at Reborn through an in-person interview.

Biotechnology is a highly demanding course in today's world. The syllabus for this course is mostly around bookish knowledge and you have to gather outside knowledge on your own. There must be an internship for every student arranged by department itself in various other institues or labs for practical work experience.
