Remarks

Positive part is that despite several disadvantages our college face we are 2nd top co-ed college of South campus.Only 2 negative part of our is infrastructure, campus size and many non permanent faculty.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Curriculum is same as followed in entire Delhi University. Curriculum is according to current industry since Delhi University updates it's syllabus at an interval of 10 years. There are no industrial visit but those opportunities are provided by various societies in college. Semester exam are of 75 marks which can easily completed in a month and 25 marks internal which includes 5 marks for attendance,10 marks for assignment and 10 marks for class test. There are 4 subjects and 5 in 3rd year.

Placement Experience

4.5

College placement are decent, there are many opportunities for each and everyone from every course round the year. Majority of time one placement offer follwed by 2 internship every month. But majority of placement are for Bcom students followed by ECO Hons. But this doesn't means if you are not from these courses you don't have chance of placement.Max package of all time is 10 lac PA grabbed by ECO Hons students and min in 2.5 lac.The placement cell conduct a necessary workshop for every 3rd year student.Big companies like Microsoft,EY,KMPG etc come to recruit each year. Not all students opt for placement but majority gets placed who sits for interview.

College Events

5

There is no ends to events in college. College has 3 fest one is Adhya NSS fest and other is Annual Fest Ambrosia and 3rd is Annual Cultural fest.Average 2500 person comes to each of the fest and on celebrity night's it may reach 5000.Many college participate in them like Hansraj,KMC,DTU, IITD etc. There are several workshop either on UPSC,CAT, Abroad studies etc and some time fun event which are organised by companies for model or as an artist like singer, dancer or even acting for TV commercial or in film industries.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee Structure is really feasible majority of students are able to afford it.Fee is accepted online. No extra fee is taken at time of admission. There is complete transparency in fees because all is online offline mode is not available. You clearly see for what facilities you are charged.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are numerous scholarship which may come from private firm or Government. Eligibility for them is something merit and majority for reserved category. So it becomes easy for you to get scholarship if belong to reserved category.Depends on scholarship whether it will be on monthly basis or yearly.

Campus Life

3.5

Gender ratio is good i.e 3:2 ie Boy:Girl. There are numerous society to groom yourself in every field either it be corporate life. Most amazing part of college is that majority of students are from all over country from each and every part nation. So you get excellent exposure to many cultures. Majority of them are from middle class of all. There are computer labs, library, canteen, stationary, music room, theatre, Multipurpose hall,Girls Common Room,NCC,NSS and Placement cell room. One of the most peaceful college in entire Delhi University without DUSU.Life is very chilled out no attendance issue like other Delhi University College.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

No Hostel are provided by college but you can avail PG,Flats etc in nearby areas like Satya niketan,Munirka, Safdarjung enclave, Mohammad Pur,Moti Bagh etc.which may cost around ?10000 on average monthly and if sharing then it may come down to ?4000.If you avail PG then charges become>?15000 for everything including laundry, mess, electricity etc excluding transport.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior are helpful, fight with them still they will help. You can concern any senior for any details.Several alumni of our college are either IAS or in top position in several MNC like Accenture,KMPG etc. These alumni visit college to meet teacher and you can ask teacher for an interaction and they will never deny.Due to mentorship of passout alumni several other also have excelled in there respective fields.

Admission

I opt for the course since my marks were not enough to get Hons course and a decent college.I choosed this college majorly due to location because this type of location attract a decent crowd.Secondly it was the top co-ed college in entire Delhi University for BA Prog with specialization in Computer Applications and Mathematics. For admission you need to check cutoff, then go to college on assigned admission date which is basically 3 days once cutoff is out.Documents required are Marksheet +2,Provisional Marksheet provided by school, passing certificate, migration certificate if applicable, Passport size photos and registration cum admission form from Delhi University website.

Faculty

3.5

My maths teacher is a Ph.D holder and a permanent faculty, she is recognised internationally and also go abroad to give lecture. She has an experience of 25+ years, also take SSC and UPSC interview. Most amazing thing about her is that she practice maths on daily basis for 15 hours. You need to ask her when she is free for taking doubts which most probably she will clear after class.Computer teacher has done MCA and have good knowledge and also is available for doubts but you need to ask her for English and AECC teacher's is also good at teaching.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It DU, so i think for many students it comes down to if you are able to make it to cutt off list. So my decision was based on it. I cleared the cutt off list for english hons so i took it. I wanted to make my way for govt job, so it was all about getting a degree regardless of what subject i was getting. I think curriculum just make you educated enough to get to know but its the college life that make you come face to face with the real world. exams every 6 months i.e every semester i think its good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really like Human Geography which let me to opt for this paper. Besides theory papers, we also have practical papers every semester through which we conduct surveys, interviews, research which helps us in preparing for the real world applications as well as further academic pursuits if we want to go in the field of Remote sensing or GIS. I feel that for papers including research or management, we should be showcasing how we can mitigate them or adapt in such scenarios and also make drafts for writing a research for further pursuits. However, as the time is limited it is quite understandable as to why its not conducted. We have two exams in a year and they are quite relevant and easy
