DTU's B.Tech in Industrial & Production Engineering generally offers a better ROI compared to Jadavpur University's BE in Electronics & Telecom Engineering, especially in terms of placement opportunities and average packages, with DTU boasting an average of around 12 lakhs and the highest package hitting 1.8 cr. While Jadavpur University has a strong reputation, the placement figures and internship opportunities at DTU, including top companies like Google and Microsoft, make it a smarter financial choice. Additionally, DTU has a more structured approach to internships leading to pre-placement offers, which enhances job security post-graduation. If you're looking for higher placement potential and a better financial return, DTU is the way to go, while Jadavpur could be a fit for those more inclined towards the specific field of electronics.

From my research, DTU's B.Tech in Industrial & Production Engineering offers a stronger placement scenario compared to Jadavpur University's BE in Electronics & Telecom Engineering. DTU boasts a higher highest package of around 1.8 crore and sees about 70-75% of students placed through big names like Google and Microsoft, while Jadavpur has solid opportunities but not as lucrative. Internships at DTU often lead to pre-placement offers, which is a significant advantage. If you’re aiming for top-tier companies and higher salary packages, DTU might be the better choice, but if you prefer a strong academic environment in a reputable college, Jadavpur could be your pick.

Both DTU's B.Tech in Industrial & Production Engineering and Jadavpur University's BE in Electronics & Telecom Engineering have their strengths, but my personal pick leans towards DTU. The faculty at DTU is experienced, and the curriculum is well-aligned with industry requirements, covering essential areas like manufacturing processes and quality control. Plus, the placement scene is impressive, with top companies like Google and Microsoft actively recruiting, and the highest package reaching around 1.8 crore.

Jadavpur also has good placements, but the tech-centric focus and higher average packages at DTU give it an edge. If you're passionate about mechanics and want a robust tech environment, DTU is the better choice; if you prefer electronics and a different vibe, Jadavpur could be great.
