Teaching methods are relative to the instructors. The theory classes are beneficial and electives should be chosen wiswly depending on minors you wish to take. Labs are interactive and occur once weekly.

The course structure now concist of one core year, one pre-major year and three major years. In the co year we have to study all the subjects available, in pre major two of them and in major, one. For now we are the first batch to have pre major(before it was two core years). So its experimental and hence we get delayed response from the admin. This should be improved. This curriculum teaches well enough to get on with the modern day research problem from the bachelor years only. And abou the exams, we have continuous evaluation, three major exams per semester.

The curriculum is set in a way to encourage for further research. It does prepare for real-world applications and future academic persuit. In general the courses are quite interactive but sometimes if feels like it's running faster than what an average student can grasp. Sometimes there are problems with exam since there are three exams in semester of four months and at the end it feels like we are only studying for the sake of exams

The curriculum of IISER mohali is very different from any other college in India, it is designed to give students real life application with understanding of fundamental concepts of all the subjects. The most interesting part of the curriculum is inclusion of social science with traditional science subjects, so that students stay conscious about real life problems and society, and help to remove the problems. The labs cources are well designed with problems from ongoing research. The teachers use interactive boards to elaborate us topics with audio visual medium. There are 3 exams in a semester, two mid semster exam and one end semester exam. The student who might fail a course given chance to pass it in summer. The difficulty of exams depends on proffesor. But most of the exams in first two year are easy to moderate but from third onwards its moderate to difficult. The curriculum is designed to specifically who want to persue research in future and provides really great foundation.

The course structure has very good HSS courses, as well as all the other courses and very well balanced, some of them are hard but through consistent learning you can get an A pretty easily. With the new introduction of premajors, even the need to do 4 subjects for 2 years has been reduced and we can now opt for 2 subjects after 1st year. The frequency of exams is a bit hectic, since we have to appear for 2 midsems and 1 endsem in 4 months with additional quizzes and assignments in between.

The course is for those who have passion towards science. The curriculum is very good and there is a major focus on interdisciplinary research with a lot of options for elective courses to prepare students for real world applications. Although the difficulty of exams depends on a particular instructor, the frequency is high as they occur every month in an ongoing semester
Majorly, the plans of many students after cometing this degree is to go for Ph.D in foreign colleges or .aybe corges in India only or maybe just in IISER only and placement opportunities are rather low

I like the overall curriculum , the laboratory exposure from the first year itself provides a really good exposure , the schedule is good as well , it is not hectic and you get time to develope other skills apart from curriculum. You can get engaged with short and long time project while being in your bachelors degree itself . Though there are two mid semester and one end semester exams in each semester and the difficulty level varies from professor to professor thus we have relative grading.

THIS IS A RESEARCH ORIENTED COURSE BS-MS, basically an integrated 5-year bsc msc plan but in a more structured and on a research basis. There is at least 1 professor on 30 students I think not sure. And all professors are well-qualified postdocs from good foreign universities. Term exams were divided into 2 midsems and one end sem and the level of paper is the same as what professors taught in class.

I chose this course because I was interested in research. The student-to-faculty ratio here is 30:1. They all are postdocs and all of them have done their postdocs from good foreign universities. Here mid sems are conducted every month in total 2 midsems and one endsem is conducted every semester, the exams are not too tough if you go to classes and understand things conceptually.
