Review of Department of Germanic and romance studies.

Likes

Teachers who teach us are very kind to us. They always help students
Course structure is normal which can be easily covered.

Dislikes

I don't like H.O.D here. They are very lazy in their work and always make desperency that puts students in trouble.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculam is easy to understand and adapt. But you have to attend each and every class because here you gonna learn a whole new language that can be your 2nd , 3rd or even 4th language like for me italian is my 3rd language(hindi, english and italian). It is very important to understand basics concept of a language as we all know every concept is inter- related. Exams become very easy if you have attended every class i can say that exam difficulty level is easy to moderate. Even internal are more hard than exams

Department for the study purposes not for enjoyment

Likes

Faculties are well educated and they taught in a simpler way and they are friendly with the students.
It comes under the Faculty of Arts where only masters courses are available but their is only language course which is taught in the department.It is very good for study purposes.

Dislikes

Rooms doesn't have ac and also doesn't have any field or groud where you can play games like cricket or football
This department does not have the facilities like colleges.

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester student are eligible for campus placement. Recently Amazon has visited our department. Almost 90-95% the students get the placement with average package of 5 lac and the highest package offered last year was 8.5 lac.

All about my campus

Likes

Overall experience in department of Germanic and romance studies is quite fun because that place has its own peace
Amazing people with their good nature pretty good garden

Dislikes

I don't hate anything but the food of canteen is not much better
Water cooler does not work properly and the quality is also not good

Placement Experience:

3rd year students become eligible for campus placements. Many big companies come for placements like Amazon Wipro.At least 8-9 people get placed, but after getting the degree, they can work at many places like Embassy, ??Amazon, Wipro, Boat and many more.

Information about Department of Germanic and Romance studies

Likes

The teacher are very supportive and helpful. they are the best and they teaches the foreign language from the very beginning
Overall, this department is a great place much better than any other college.

Dislikes

There are a bunch of societies in the university, but all are inactive and since the total strength of the department is quite low

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester students become eligible for the campus placements. one can easily get placement in big companies like Amazon, Accenture etc. The minimum package offered by the company is ?6,00,000 per annum. In Ba (hons) Italian approximately 100% students get their placement.

An overview of DGRS

Likes

The campus is beautiful and full of greenery and all of this refreshes the mood after lectures.
Course fee is low with greater scopes after the completion of the course.

Dislikes

The supply of drinking water is very bad. Water smells like chemicals and isn't good for drinking.
There are not many fests which makes it sometimes king of boring.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course includes includes a whole bunch of aspects required to learn and understand a language thoroughly, whether it is speaking and listening skill or reading and writing skill or about the history of the language. One can study about the depths of language and this aspect influenced me a lot to choose it. Learning a language always requires its continuous application in everyday life, thus the practical application in real life is not a matter of concern in this course. Exams are usually moderate and include questions related to what we have learnt in the classes.

An Overall look on DGRS

Likes

The environment is very peaceful and one can study well in different areas of the campus.
There is no involvement in the politics so there is no such rush as other colleges.

Dislikes

The supply of drinking water is not good enough and the water smells like chlorine.
The optional courses are taught in other colleges so students have to go there to attend their classes which is a bit troubling.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since the very beginning I was having a keen interest in learning an European language and this course included the proper learning and understanding of language so I decided to choose it. As it is obvious that when you are learning a language you have to put it into use in your everyday life, so the problem of practical aspect is not a matter of concern in this course. Teaching methods are very effective and there are no issues regarding them. Exam are based on what we have been taught in the class, so they are always moderate.

A life changing course

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to learn Spanish that's why I choose this course. The faculty is good and the teachers are also good here. The teacher provides regular classes to the students as per the class. The method of teaching is very well they help you in speaking learning reading and everything. Exams are a little bit difficult if you are practicing it's not hard.

Have a look before you decide your future in Italian honours.

Placement Experience:

The campus is mainly famous because of its placement cell only. The company which always visit our campus for the last 6 to 7 years is Amazon. There is the same salary package for nearly all the students that is 6 lakh per annum. Nearly 40% of the students get the placement. In which 2020 there were 10 placements made out of 30 students. If you can't get placed by the placement cell there are wide options in this field where you can apply. Is many of the MNCs deal with trade with Italy so they need a translator who had a great knowledge of the Italian language. You will get a lump sum or more or less the same packaging that companies.
