Course Curriculum Overview
Since the very beginning I was having a keen interest in learning an European language and this course included the proper learning and understanding of language so I decided to choose it. As it is obvious that when you are learning a language you have to put it into use in your everyday life, so the problem of practical aspect is not a matter of concern in this course. Teaching methods are very effective and there are no issues regarding them. Exam are based on what we have been taught in the class, so they are always moderate.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
As of now, there isn't any hike in the tution fees of the students. Per semester fees is around 5200 INR and exam fees is around 1800 INR, resulting in a complete cost of study being 7000 INR. There are scholarship and financial aid programes for the economically weaker students, for more information one can check the official website of the University of Delhi.
Campus Life
There are not much fests in the Department. Every language students have their own Cultural program. Some programs are namely Piazza Italia (celebrated in March), fresher's party, and farewell. There are two library in the faculty, Pablo Neruda Library and Central Library. Both have numerous resourceful books and are operational most of the days. There are not any kind of sports in the department, but many workshops are conducted throughout the year. There is also a Literay Club focused on incouragment of reading habit in students. Classrooms are well maintained but there are no air conditioners which makes studies harder in summers.
