Remarks

Overall the college is very good in all aspects as it's all girls college so it is safe being in Delhi. The education system was also good and the course was completed during the given time. The college is very good.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course structure for Geography was very good and the course main focus is on the research as it contains a curriculum of practical work.We use to have lab three days a week and it was somewhat tiring but it was worth it.

Placement Experience

3

There was no placement for the Geography honours but this is almost for every social science courses as the placement takes place generally for the technical courses. But our department use to offer different project work like smart city, disaster mitigation and many more. There use to be drill on monthly basis so as for the students to know about evacuation during disaster.

College Events

4

All the colleges under University of Delhi use to have a annual fest along with all the departmental fest. All the events are inter college and the participation rate is also high. Our college also has different sports events as well.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure was feasible during our time. The yearly fee was approx.10,000/- The other courses fee was almost feasible for the students. The fee was little higher for us compared to the other courses as the practical expenses was also included in it.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't have any idea about the scholarship or loan for the course opted. But with the internet services people can check the scholarship or loan facilities which they can avail for the educational purposes.

Campus Life

5

Our college was famous for extra curricular activities and use to win many inter college competition like dance, nukkad natak, sports etc.Our college is all girls college and so it is safe and there was no basis for discrimination and it was also anti -ragging zone.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

I was staying in the college hostel itself. The seats was limited during our time but later after the college inaugurated the new hostel block the seats availability was high. The hostel room was sharing for 2 people and the other facilities like water, electricity, laundry, mess etc were all available and also very good. The rooms are quite comfortable with beds, cupboard, bedding, table, chair, dresser etc. There are lots of PG's available in walking distance from the college and according to the other sources it was affordable but not as good as the hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

I didn't have any experience on the alumni network as no seniors were called during any special occasion to guide the students or so, but the seniors who were there in the college and the hostel helped us a lot in our studies especially our practical work.

Admission

I was admitted in the college by merit in the year 2012 and I opted for Geography honours as it was one of the best college in University of Delhi offering it.During that time our course was full by the first cut-off itself. The admission process was little tiring and hectic as the documents verification took a lot of time, but the time spent during the process was worth for getting into the dream college.

Faculty

4

The faculty is extremely qualified and they were also interested in the course as they have wide knowledge about the course. As the professors were qualified because of the interest in the subject so the classes was very interesting for Geography honours and I don't have idea about the other faculty.

SRCC has one of the best campuses and our basketball court is so famous that many movies too have been promoted and shot there. Our campus is big too and our auditorium is such that many top personalities have come and spoken there. Even leaders like Barrack Obama too had an interaction with SRCC students in an open air event.

Campus placements are available for all semesters but the offers are more the students in third year. The offers came form many reputed companies like Deloitte, EY, NSDC and more. The highest packages offered were 24 LPA. Almost 75 to 80 percent students got the campus placement. I did not sit for the placement as I was beginning my preparation for UPSC.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For psychology everything is good, the course the topics everything is very real world applications based. However there is less scope for it in india but in abroad one can do well. I really like learning about mental disorders, they open a new world to me and a better understanding of the people with disabilities. For Areas of improvement all i can suggest is giving lesser readings, since there is a lot of readings to cover it becomes a headache for some students. Also there shoulf be more practical based subjects rather thsn just theory ones.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum I took is okay considering the low placement percentage from the college's side which is I would say sometimes bad and good at the same time as the students can find their own way around such things. Faculty just complete the topics. we have to study ourselves.

The placement cell of my college is very active. They hold internships round the year and provide reliable placement at the end of last year. Placement mainly depends upon per student skill rather than the course variability and considering most of the humanities courses are less employable if taken only on the basis of course. However skills are the main deciding factor
