Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is really benefial especially for editing, publishing career and law or public speaking related career. Its underrated actually, and its relevance to modern world lies to its credibility not just to theories but to practical sense as well.

Fees and Financial Aid

Miranda house is actually a really good college in academics, infrastructure and availing other facilities, it provides a safe environment as well. The course i am doing - English Honours, is in fact one of the most renowned courses of the college and the faculty is really understanding and well experienced, they help you not only with academics but with personal life issues and mental health issues as well. We are total of 100-105 students divided in 2 sections, and both section are divided in half and are provided with mentors, who are always ready to help us. The fees we paid for the first year was 15,500 which included admission fees as well, but in the second year it reduced upto 13,600 which is really fair compared to the facilities and quality of education and the standard of degree - ba hons in english. Students here are also very helpful and compatible, good facilities for specially abled children and easily accessible admin. Overall, very open and inclusive environment, green environment and affordable with good facilities.

Campus Life

5

The campus life is really lively, active and creative. Some or the other events are always happening here, the societies are also diverse and provides opportunities for all kinds of talents - music, dance, sports, corporate related skills, social service, etc. we also have one of the most huge libraries of the whole DU, the online portal for mh and the app - acadme makes it really eash for students to interact, engage and maintain the transparency.

Admission

First of all, because of course miranda has been the no. 1 college since consecutively 7 years, secondly, it lies in the north campus, thirdly, its a girls college / safer and more comfortable compared to any other co ed colleges, thirdly the infrastructure is really aesthetic and green and lastly, of course the faculty is really cool.

Faculty

4

Faculty as said before is very understanding and helpful and they are well experienced as well. They are not only ready to help you in terms of academic issues but they help you through your personal issues and mental health issues as well. They teach from scratch no matter how knowledgeble students are, their teaching is inclusive for all.

Night Life

5

We have total of 11-12 gardens including the bigger and smaller ones, all are built really well and beautifully, decored with flowers and trees and bamboo built sitting areas. We also have a gym area, sports tools room having badminton, tennis equipments and we have a tennis and basketball ground as well. There is a garden names the tech garden, its near the gate no. 7, it also has waste management garage and etc. College closes at around 6-6:30 for non hostellers.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It DU, so i think for many students it comes down to if you are able to make it to cutt off list. So my decision was based on it. I cleared the cutt off list for english hons so i took it. I wanted to make my way for govt job, so it was all about getting a degree regardless of what subject i was getting. I think curriculum just make you educated enough to get to know but its the college life that make you come face to face with the real world. exams every 6 months i.e every semester i think its good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really like Human Geography which let me to opt for this paper. Besides theory papers, we also have practical papers every semester through which we conduct surveys, interviews, research which helps us in preparing for the real world applications as well as further academic pursuits if we want to go in the field of Remote sensing or GIS. I feel that for papers including research or management, we should be showcasing how we can mitigate them or adapt in such scenarios and also make drafts for writing a research for further pursuits. However, as the time is limited it is quite understandable as to why its not conducted. We have two exams in a year and they are quite relevant and easy
