Serene and peaceful.

Likes

I like the faculty. They are nice and are always ready to help. They are not rude and they make sure that everyone understands the lecture.
The garden and the environment is very classy and quiet and serene. You can spend your break time in the department garden, because it feels home.
The infrastructure is also nice and the canteen food is good too.

Dislikes

The college timings are unlikable because the lecture starts in the morning and extends till evening. You only get a short break which is not enough.
The administrative office members are very lazy and they take very long to solve your problems.
There are no societies. And also, no playgrounds. But since it's situated in the North Campus, you have a lot of places to explore.

I applied for this course because I liked foreign language. But after coming to this place, I realised that the placement is also very good. The package is good for a beginner. The eligibility criteria requires CUET exam and the fees is minimal. So this course and college was very suitable to me.

The Life In DU

Likes

I like the building and the colour is our college building
It's in the north campus so a good point
I like the people and the teachers there who make it easy to learn

Dislikes

I don't like the water facility of the college
I don't like the toilets of the college and they are even closed now
I don't like the fact that our college doesn't have any society or any fest or anything it's just come study and go

Admission:

I wanted to do spanish hons that is why I directly choose this and not any other college and I didn't got rejected by any other college I got this one in the first place and so the way to get in du is through CUET the cuts offs of my college are not very high it's like anyone can get there with decent marks

Likes

Teachers who teach us are very kind to us. They always help students
Course structure is normal which can be easily covered.

Dislikes

I don't like H.O.D here. They are very lazy in their work and always make desperency that puts students in trouble.

Admission:

You have to appear c.u.e.t with the subject combination of one language subject that can be english or italian according to you additionally with 3 domain. I got admission here at around 600 marks out of 800 and if you are from reserved community then it can become more easy for you to enter here.

Our department is soo good because department management is good my friend and me enjoying our department garden our department have 4 languages italian, German, Spanish, French and I’m Italian language student & I like Italian language and teachers,
Our department have four big gardens in middle of department, the gardens are soo beautiful and garden flowers is soo gorgeous , in winters after the we passing our time in garden we playing many games like badminton,cricket,disk throwing games enjoy
Our department other languages students are soo good her talking sens, personalities we both spends good time with each other’s our languages professors are soo good, our communication with our professors are good because our professors like my frien

Dislikes

Our department have no any fest like other colleges we want fest and italian students have limited class rooms and also other languages have limited class rooms some rooms have Air condition and some rooms not have a Air condition soo this problems
Our department have limited professors soo sone languages have three professors and some languages have five professors this problem are soo big and frustrating students want a good and limited professors or our study’s

Admission:

My courses is B.A italian hons if you want this course you complete you 12th class and give the entrance exam for college admission After the 12th class I want to study about languages in college soo I want to admission in college The government of India and Delhi organised the entrance exam for college admission the name of exam is CUET If you want the give cuet soo you apply the application form after the 12th The application fees depends of your cuet exam subjects if you give 4 exam in cuet soo your fees is minimum 1400 but if you give 5-6 exam soo you fees is high After the 12th Application dates announce in 1-2 months If you reserve your cuet exam soo it's beneficial for you college The exam of cuet timing are not good in my perspective and it's a difficult exam Because you have limited timing for exam and you have also negative marking in exam and your exam is not complete and times up the computer window is automatically off and you not complete you exam

The quality of education is pretty good as language student they teach everything from the beginning
Also provides other certifications and diploma in other languages

Dislikes

Nothing in particular as a cluster student sometimes time management becomes difficult travelling to other colleges

Department for the study purposes not for enjoyment

Likes

Faculties are well educated and they taught in a simpler way and they are friendly with the students.
It comes under the Faculty of Arts where only masters courses are available but their is only language course which is taught in the department.It is very good for study purposes.

Dislikes

Rooms doesn't have ac and also doesn't have any field or groud where you can play games like cricket or football
This department does not have the facilities like colleges.

Admission:

You should have pass your 10+2 from any subject and you have at least 50% marks in your board exam. At the website of du.ac.in you can find each and everything. Admission process is vey easy after qualifying in the CUET exam.

All about my campus

Likes

Overall experience in department of Germanic and romance studies is quite fun because that place has its own peace
Amazing people with their good nature pretty good garden
Professors are very helpful and they treat like their own children

Dislikes

I don't hate anything but the food of canteen is not much better
Water cooler does not work properly and the quality is also not good
All rooms are good but atleast one AC should be installed in every class and chairs should be replaced

Admission:

You have to pass 12th first then after that you have to prepare for CUET which college will allot you then you have to fill the preference sheet in CUET exam in 3 domain 1 language like hindi or english and GR

The teacher are very supportive and helpful. they are the best and they teaches the foreign language from the very beginning
Overall, this department is a great place much better than any other college.

Dislikes

There are a bunch of societies in the university, but all are inactive and since the total strength of the department is quite low

Admission:

The Department of Germanic and Romance Studies pursue for European language consists of the languages Italian, German, French and Spanish. You can obtain a B.A. (Hons.) degree in these languages. To get enrolled in this course you have to give CUET ug and meet the cutoff requirements.

An overview of DGRS

Likes

The campus is beautiful and full of greenery and all of this refreshes the mood after lectures.
Course fee is low with greater scopes after the completion of the course.
There isn't much rush there, so one can enjoy peace while studying.

Dislikes

The supply of drinking water is very bad. Water smells like chemicals and isn't good for drinking.
There are not many fests which makes it sometimes king of boring.

Admission:

Everyone who has appeared in the CUET exam conducted by the NTA and has given exam in three domain subjects and one language subject, is eligible for this course. The application form for CUET can be found on the official CUET website. After CUET, students have to register on the CSAS portal operated by the University of Delhi and fill the preference list individually. As for the difficulty level of CUET exam, it is always moderate as one have to answer according to the syllabus of intermediate class.

An Overall look on DGRS

Likes

The environment is very peaceful and one can study well in different areas of the campus.
There is no involvement in the politics so there is no such rush as other colleges.
The canteen here offers good food at reasonable price.

Dislikes

The supply of drinking water is not good enough and the water smells like chlorine.
The optional courses are taught in other colleges so students have to go there to attend their classes which is a bit troubling.

Admission:

Students who appeared in CUET exam conducted by NTA, and gave exam in three domain subjects and one language subject, are eliglible for this course. After the results of CUET exam students have to register on the CSAS website of the university of Delhi for participating in the seat allotment rounds. One have to fill the given college and course in the prefernce list submitted individually by each student. The exam are not difficult as they are based on the course syllabus of Intermediate class.
