Likes

Faculties are best. They teaches you and create never ending bond with you.
Infrastructure is good but the area is small , the greenery is amazing and flowers are sooo sweetest.

Dislikes

No hygiene in canteen. Avoid eating from canteen.

The curriculum is highly relevant notably the focus on real world applications and Advanced Financial reporting. It prepared me well for professional life. Improvement is needed in digital tool exposure.

Reality of Shyamlal college of Delhi University

Likes

The faculty is well qualified. Academic wise the college is good.
There are a lot of society's where students can get to learn a lot.
Library is fine gets somewhat updated time to time.

Dislikes

The infrastructure is pretty bad. Not a lot of amenities in the college.
Only got a hockey ground that to only for college team. No sports or extracurricular activities for normal students.
Placement cell is ran by the students itself. College barely supports them to get companies. Very low packages and conversion rate is 5-8%.

Placement Experience:

Even 1st year students can get a placement if they are able to convert it during the placement fair. The only 1 renowned company which visited and which I knew was zomato back in 2024. It also paid the hightest package ever around 6.5 lpa. Only 5-8% students get placed. Most of the students of this college prepare for govt exam or prepare for their pg exams.

Firstly I replied the staff of the college both teaching and non teaching staff all professors are helpful and well trained
Second think I also liked the campus and infrastructure of the college as our college is a off campus College
And also the students of the college are also good seniors are helpful

Dislikes

The thing that I disliked the most is the canteen of the college. Condition of the canteen is very bad .

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I choosed commerce stream in my school time as per my interest then I wanted to continue it and that's why I choosed this course . There can be some improvement in the labs and practical study that can be more improved and more easy to learn .

Curriculum was very good and the course structure was mediocre level
We could get an access to various opportunities including internships.
College fest and events and the inter du College competitions.

Dislikes

Faculties were mediocre level and the infrastructure was average

Course Curriculum Overview:

Statistics, econometrics, intermediate Macroeconomics and micro, Mathematics methods of economics, these subjects were interesting but they were really difficult if one doesn't understand the concepts. The exams were too difficult but some facilities were really good. they provide various assignments and questions to make us familiar with the paper.

Pros. and cons. Of shyam lal college, university of Delhi.

Likes

The first thing I liked was the college campus because it is Greenery everywhere.
The second thing was the college library, and reading rooms with air conditioning. Washrooms was decent. And the infrastructure was also good at all.
The third thing was the teachers they are well behaved and too good towards Students.

Dislikes

The first thing was there is no Financial aid or scholarship for students who resides outside of Delhi.
The second thing was not having air conditioning in the classrooms.
And the third one is the office member which was is in a hurry and sometimes they don't hear or resolve your problems which was so ridiculous.

From 3rd year Student became eligibility for campus placement. There are various companies like Amazon, Deloitte tcs and some other small startups which gave varieties of offer to students. The highest package was 15 lpa and lowest was 3.5 lpa. About 60 percent student gets college placements. My plan after degree was to crack cat for mba...

In open learning, there is a benefit for those who are preparing any kind of government exam, so they have to time prepare their exam because Open learning college provides only weekly classes.
In open learning there's no a lot of burden to finish graduation

Dislikes

The value of open learning college is less than regular
Candidate who's preparing for any placement from college I would like to give negetive rating because there's no placement guarantee in open learning
No regular classes schedule in open learning because this provides only alternative class like Saturday Sunday..

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

Likes

The Library of college is amazing and college also provides reading room as well which is easily accessible by everyone
The rooms in new building have proper infrastructure and also have proper benches whereas in old building big rooms doens't have benches as per college students as they're small

Dislikes

Increased fees and is at outskirts of Delhi like without any good facilities they are charging more feed than SRCC or even a north campus college. Whereas some off campus colleges are good at infrastructure facilities

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course of curriculum had changed and we are keen to know about new technology which is being used in real world for projects. So we got to learn software such as tally prime and ms Excel but limited classes are available as some systems are not working and lab 3 is outdated as laptops are almost 10 years old there without any internet connection

Everything you need to know about Shyam Lal College(M)

Likes

Very affordable college for every course
Good teaching staff and faculty members.
Lots of co-curricular activities and socities to be a part of (drama,dance,singing),etc

Dislikes

Management is somewhat rude towards the new students.
Infrastructure is not upto the mark,lack of Acs and proper cleanliness in college canteens and other areas
Placement and internship opportunities are not available, median package offered was about 4.5 lakh/per annum. Mainly NGOs visit for the campus recruitment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is very good as for my course (B.com(hons)).It definitely helped me understand the real world of scenario of economics, finanace and commerce.Curriculum also includes a part of computer basics needed for industrial exposure. The frequency and timing of exams are also good there is sufficient time to complete the syllabus and revise for semester exams ,but for class test and assignments you don't get enough time to prepare. But overall it is fine.

College greenery , it contains a lot of flowers and 4 gardens
Amphitheatre, where people can chill and have fun
Library , which is very spacious and contain air conditioner

Dislikes

Crowd because of reservations , where many non deserving people are here
Washroom facilities are very poor which is a basic need
Canteen food is very bad and costly as compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

I want to pursue masters also for which I will go to abroad and try to upskill myself. This would help me to enhance my placement and get a good job with high salaries. In my college the percentage of placements is excellent

THIS COLLAGE IS GOOD IN SPORTS LIKE HOCKEY

THE CANTEEN RATE IS HIGH AND MAXIMUM STUDENTS CANT AFFORD IT
THERE IS NO PROPER VENTILATION FAN FOR SUMMER OR COOLER
IN THIS COLLAGE THEIR IS NO FEST HELD THIS IS LIKE ONCE IN A BLUE MOON
