Hostel Facilities:

I haven't opted for hostel rooms.Yes of course it is sharing.There are many hostel seats available.PGs quiet good.The Average Rental Fees is nearly 5000 per month.You can fill up the form available for hostel facilities nearby.

City College-Review

Hostel Facilities:

Hostel rooms are good. Pg's average rental is rupees 3000 per month. Pg is also good. Pg rooms are nice. The rooms are hygienic and clean. There minimum of 3 students who can share a room. Pg is near to the college.

A Friendly Society.

Hostel Facilities:

The canteen food is pretty good, There is also a meal card which can provide you with a whole thali regularly. It is very hygenic and tasty as well. The college has 2 canteens and there are many cheap shops just outside the college. The college canteen is very cheap and contains food like tea, bread, sandwich, paratha, chilli chiken, veg thali, chowmein etc etc.

Well for study

Likes

College fest are very good and enjoyed alot
Seniors are very helpful and cooperative

Dislikes

Many Things takes alot of time to complete
There are no such of library access to everyone

Campus Life:

There are 2 cultural festival done in an year and these are basanta utsav and sangrila. These are very joyful and enjoyable. And apart from that there are annual sports also where, many type of sports activities done in few days in an year and there is no such as journals and extra curriculum activities

Those nice college days

Likes

The teachers are very friendly. They taught there with very care
Seniors and the management is also very helpful

Dislikes

Washrooms should be more hygienic. And also need regular cleaning
Some teachers behaviour is also not good

Campus Life:

Student life is good in city. You will not get bothered by others. Ragging is strictly prohibited and everyone take care of this. There are 3 events mainly which are celebrated also others are 3 but 3 is the main attraction. First one is 'NOBIN BARON' which means welcoming the freshers in the college second one is holy festival which is celebrated and the third one which is sangrilla . Satisfied with my City College

Likes

The faculties were very good and helpful.
The college campus was big enough with big classrooms.

Dislikes

There was no such parking area around the college.
Sometimes the college used to stay dirty .

Campus Life:

The campus life was very enjoyable. Every year a grand event is organised where students get to participate and the celebrities are also called for their performances. Sports is also done . Where the students gets to participate

City College - The college of dreams

Likes

Library, GYM and other facilities. Every year Sangrila is hosted for 5 days to celebrate. Class room are well ventilated and projector are also available for smart classes
Separate common room for girls and boys and also sports room

Dislikes

No lift present in the college, considering the fact that we to go up to 4 floors.
Laboratory are not well established and facilitated.

Campus Life:

Sangrila is held every year for 5 day in the month of October. Holi is celebrated on the day and Independence day as well. There is a general library of the college which cost around RS 100 for the membership but you can get books from the department's library for free. In the ladies common room sanitary napkins machine is available from which one can buy pads for RS.5. Special emphasis is put on co curricular activities such as debate, quiz and inter college competition also district level sports teams are made. Student can join union or not that is absolutely their choice.

Kolkata Heritage:City College

Likes

This College is super affordable, fits into your budget.Why to waste money money for Bcom course by going to private colleges when it's super affordable in this City College is one of the oldest colleges in Kolkata.Can you believe it's 145 years old?

Dislikes

This College building is 145 years old making it a Kolkata heritage but it's interiors are not very impressive.It looks vintage but the cracks on walls,the damped ceiling will horrify you a little.Worst is the behaviour of staffs at it's office.

Campus Life:

City College actually arranges nice events such The Sangrila is very famous event which is arranged by only City College,It is arranged generally during the Durga Puja month with painting competitions, Dancing competitions, Singing competitions and much more.Guests are invited during those Sangrila nights.Another famous event is The Annual Social of City College,last time it was arranged in Netaji Indoor Stadium with performance of The Fossils and Darshan Raval.The class rooms are very old and teaching techniques are traditional too!Annual Sports day is also arranged every year.The Students Council can be a boon for some and annoyance for some as well,if you're part of it you have to go on processions and all.

City college- A phase in my life

Likes

The Heritage and the old rich history of the institution
The faculties and the teachers also the non-teaching staffs are very helpful

Dislikes

The campus needs to be renovated. well it holds a rich background but it also needs to be modernised. Well the authorities must look into it
The canteen may improve or may add more menu for the students

I personally enjoy being inside the campus. the campus only consists of the the college building and a gym beside the well the same building is used by two more colleges in the morning and Evening. The college as such doesn't have any clubs but there is a student union to hear about the student's problems and complaints.

The college campus is so big and vintage. I like our college very much !
Tha faculty of our college is also good.

Our institute organised so many events,such as seasonal events, The range and accessibility of book and journals available in the library is normal No any high-tech technology are used in our institute, just normal study material are given Our institute also participates so many sports and extracurricular activities.
