City College... from the perspective of a simple student.

Fees and Financial Aid:

We approximately spend around Rs.7000 per year on the fees. Every student in our course and year pays the same fees. There are some scholarships like the vivekananda scheme but as it's only applicable for bpl or ews students, I don't get its benefit

City College is under University Of Calcutta. It's estd in 1881 and the Physics department is one of the most reputated and oldest department of this college. The fee structure in this college is friendly and bearable for the students. The semester wise fee is about 3200-3500. And there are 2 semesters per year so the yearly fee is less than 7000. Also we have the facility of Swami Vivekananda scholarship, for BSC students they pay 24 thousand per year.

The year wise you need to pay around 2.5k to 3k . All the tution fees lab fees computer fees are included in this.For science students i think the fees is a bit higher somewhere around 5k. Scholarships are given from the government end

The fees structure is generally divided into 2 parts that is odd semester which are the 1st, 3rd and 5th semester and another is the even semester that is 2nd, 4th and 6th semester. The fees for the odd semester was like 2500 approx and the fees for the even semester was like 1000 approx.

The Admission fee of the college is 4360. Monthly fees is paid at once before the examination which is 860-700 INR. Swami Vivekanand Merit cum Means scholarship is available for the students following certain criteria. For Bsc Hons students scholarship received is 18000 INR. For BCom or B.A it is 12000 INR.

Our college is totally awesome

Fees and Financial Aid:

The fees structure is okay, every middle class family can afford this , but the tution fees are increased so it may be a problem, The complete cost of my education for 4 years will be approx 1.5- 2lacs The State Government gave us a scholarship "Swami Vivekananda scholarship" to the students who got 60% or above Marks in there exam and those students whose family income is low. Our institute try to gave us campus employment after completing the course.
