City College - The college of dreams

Likes

Library, GYM and other facilities. Every year Sangrila is hosted for 5 days to celebrate. Class room are well ventilated and projector are also available for smart classes
Separate common room for girls and boys and also sports room

Dislikes

No lift present in the college, considering the fact that we to go up to 4 floors.
Laboratory are not well established and facilitated.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The Admission fee of the college is 4360. Monthly fees is paid at once before the examination which is 860-700 INR. Swami Vivekanand Merit cum Means scholarship is available for the students following certain criteria. For Bsc Hons students scholarship received is 18000 INR. For BCom or B.A it is 12000 INR.

Kolkata Heritage:City College

Likes

This College is super affordable, fits into your budget.Why to waste money money for Bcom course by going to private colleges when it's super affordable in this City College is one of the oldest colleges in Kolkata.Can you believe it's 145 years old?

Dislikes

This College building is 145 years old making it a Kolkata heritage but it's interiors are not very impressive.It looks vintage but the cracks on walls,the damped ceiling will horrify you a little.Worst is the behaviour of staffs at it's office.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

When I took admission I was charged 3350 rs only for first semester and for the second semester I've paid 520 rs.Estimatedly,I have to pay 7000-8000 rs all total for my 3 year Bcom general course.CU takes other charges for exams and all.

City college- A phase in my life

Likes

The Heritage and the old rich history of the institution
The faculties and the teachers also the non-teaching staffs are very helpful

Dislikes

The campus needs to be renovated. well it holds a rich background but it also needs to be modernised. Well the authorities must look into it
The canteen may improve or may add more menu for the students

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The college charges approx 15k for the course from the students. the students also get considerations and concessions in different ways like railway concession. minorities and backward-class students also get scholarships.

Our college is totally awesome

Likes

The college campus is so big and vintage. I like our college very much !
Tha faculty of our college is also good.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The fees structure is okay, every middle class family can afford this , but the tution fees are increased so it may be a problem, The complete cost of my education for 4 years will be approx 1.5- 2lacs The State Government gave us a scholarship "Swami Vivekananda scholarship" to the students who got 60% or above Marks in there exam and those students whose family income is low. Our institute try to gave us campus employment after completing the course.

About my lovely college city college

Likes

Campus is very good for greenery and rides
Common room also very good because their also have carram board chess and many more

Dislikes

Their is nothing to dislike in the college

The fees structure is very less because this is a government college and they also provide scholarship and if you want scholarship you don't have to give any exam it depends on your marks of last sem Or year. You need minimum 70% marks in last exam

City College and all you need to know about it.

Likes

The Faculty are great plus they help you on anything you want to know and on top of that they are good teachers.
The sports and other events which they hold and people come together and participate.

Dislikes

The only thing I dislike is during the exam form submission time where it gets hectic because everyone rush to the office with their forms, I need that thing to be solved by the faculty members by organizing that bit.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The fees structure i guess is good and afterall its a goverment college, its fair and cheap to some people, the college only asks to pay the exam fees which is demanded by the university. Some scholarships our college provide are SVMCM,Aikyashree and many more.

Merits and demerits of city college Kolkata

Likes

Infrastructure is ok and decent enough for a student
Renowned,old and a popular college and it is under cu

Dislikes

Campus placement of this college is very poor
It do not have any ground to play outdoor games

The fees structure is ok as it is a government college they will not charge enough for this course for each semester you have to give approx 500-600 rs and a scholarship is also available and in this college, you will get minimum campus job opportunities

A honest and fine review

Likes

I like the things were faculty infrastructure is quite good
Teachers are more co operative than the students

Dislikes

I never visited to the canteen but whenever i see the canteen its looks horrible
infrastructure of the college would have been in a great shape but low maintenance has ruin it all

As compared to other colleges fees are very low it's like 5000 per year. I am not sure about the scholarship because I never applied for it but there was some scholarship that students were talking about namely Vivekananda scholarship

GOOD COLLEGE

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

If You ask me about the fees I would say it's okay for all of the students but the 3rd sem fees are quite high. Till now I do not get any placement from college so I can not answer this one but I can tell you that they start placement this year.

City College Kolkata Precise Review.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The fees are quite affordable and nothing extravagant. There is no such noticeable price hike in the last few years. The course can be fulfilled on a budget? 7000 . I was not studying on a scholarship, nor financial assistance, or a job stipend.
