A college with all the facilities.

Student view on course curriculum

I chose this course for my interest in Commerce. I want fo persue MBA in future and also to gain knowledge of doing business and the workings of Accounts department. How tax is calculated, the laws of any company. How the whole audit process is done. How costing is done of any particular commodity etc. As such there is no need for any improvement in the teaching process, I suggest to incorporate smart class that I have heard other colleges have undertaken Every semester takes place in every 6 months gap sometimes the gap is of less than 6 months but I think a serious and hardworking student can comply with that.

Yearly fees structure of the college

1.The year wise fees i pay is 7700 Tution fees yearly-6840 Library fees-100 Building fees-200 Establishment charge-320 Information technology fees-600 Student cultural fund- Student aid fund-200 Students union fees-250 Total admission fee including all types of charges is 2905 Rupees

Annual fest and various activity in the campus

The welcoming function for the new students which is called Freshers takes place in the December month. Annual function named Sangrila takes in our college in a big auditorium. A festival in the month of March takes place called Bosonto Utsav in which students play holi with coloured powders The library is equipped with all the necessary books for students. The sports programme takes place in the month of January. Union plays a significant role in organising the college events and providing necessary help for the students.

Student views on the faculty and course

A single teacher takes class of almost hundred students. Faculties are approachable very much. The try to help the students in bost possible way. SL sir, our HOD is one of the best teachers of accountacy,he gives in depth knowledge of every concept. MRM Sir of Taxation, PG mam of Law. As far I have not noticed any faculty to be non approachable or rude. They are are quite good in there subject. We appear in 6 semester in total that completes the entire course of B COM honours. 2 to 3 percentage of students fail hardly and it is quite evident because they must have shown inconsistency and irregularity in terms of studies and attending classes. The relevance of completing this course lies in different types of opportunities like going for higher studies like M com, CA, MBA and also directly get into a job in a firm.

Admission process of the college

I applied in 5 colleges;Seth Anandram Jaipuriya, Goenka, Surendranath, Lalbaba and City college in which I am currently studying. I got confirmation from lalbaba and City college. I chose City college because classes are conducted regularly here. I got rejected by Jaipuriya and Goenka for high cut offs. The admission process of our college is completely online. One who has passed his 12th from any recognised board with minimum 60 percent can apply for course.

Nightlife and nearby places

We have a well equipped unisex gym. Dumbles, barbles, lat pull down, pull up bar, cable machine, trademill, cycling etc. Canteen service is available for students with different types of foods;paratha, chilli chiken, eggroll, sandwich, chowmin, maggi, potato curry, cold drink etc inside our college. Outside college one can find Tirupati South Indian Restaurant, Coffee House, Baithak khana, New paul dhaba etc.
