College fest are very good and enjoyed alot
Seniors are very helpful and cooperative
College campus is big and clean and big too

Dislikes

Many Things takes alot of time to complete
There are no such of library access to everyone
The practical portion is very much less.

Course Curriculum Overview

Generally a commerce person takes this course and further do a post graduate course. As e commerce person I liked to peruse this course as it is based of real life accounting. Teaches us business aspects

Class Size: 123Course Fees: INR 11000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The structure is very simple , it is a three year course, complied with 6 semester. The exam fees are separate and the course fees are seperate. Total course fees about 11000 and every exam fees about 600

Campus Life

There are 2 cultural festival done in an year and these are basanta utsav and sangrila. These are very joyful and enjoyable. And apart from that there are annual sports also where, many type of sports activities done in few days in an year and there is no such as journals and extra curriculum activities

Admission

Although I have applied for 2-3 more colleges but I got selected here very first and further I got selected in rest of the college's, as I got first selected so I didn't go anywhere and as I heard from my parents that this college is a heritage it self and good studie

Faculty

There are 15 faculty approx at that time for the mentioned course and there are not as such favour faculty and no such faculty whom I don't like. Every faculty puts good effort to reach us everything.

Night Life

There is one gym is provided by is was not in. Working condition, usually there are no person, one cafeteria is in college which where we used to go and hang out with our friends. No hostel facility was provided

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. The exams were conducted very soon in few semester only giving 3 months for the students to prepare . the professors were good at teaching and somehow used to complete the syllabus

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

Placement Experience:

At our college placements are good and many core companies or finance and IT are here for placements and intenrships as well. Average placements from what I have checked is around 4-5 lakhs per year for B.Com (Hons) students.

SAJC - From The Eye of a Student.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is of course outdated. Teaching methods are old. No case studies, competitions or project of any sort is there in the curriculum. Although a project of 100 marks is there in the final sem, but I don't think that's enough. There is no practicality in the curriculum and usability in career. The syllabus really needs an uplifment.

A college with all the facilities.

I applied in 5 colleges;Seth Anandram Jaipuriya, Goenka, Surendranath, Lalbaba and City college in which I am currently studying. I got confirmation from lalbaba and City college. Those nice college days

I had applied in many colleges and also got selected there but I chose city college for it's friendly atmosphere and supportive seniors. In order to eligible for pass course you need minimum 60percent for not put yourself in waiting list. If you score below this then there are chances that your name will be not in the first list. There are 2 or sometimes 3 lists are out for admission list. If you want to go with honours then you need 85 to 90 percent because seats are very limited...Read More
