- The laboratory facilities are the main attraction. Respected teachers will teach you very nicely and your concepts will be clear. Also they arranges extra practice class before the practical examination going to held.
- The maximum number of instruments are in working condition.

Dislikes
- The office staffs of the college are very rude
- The canteen is not that much hygiene. They do not clear plates very well. There should be atleast 5-7 staffs for canteen but there is just one person.
- The college union is very rude. They will not allow you to wear pjamas.
Course Curriculum Overview
First of all University of Calcutta is so unpredictable. Here we heared that a sem goes for 6 months. But really speaking you won't get that much time. Maximum of 4 months you'll get, some time less. The syllabus is vast. You've to study well to get passed. And the question standard is between moderate to hard level. Marks getting is not that much easy in University of Calcutta. But if you want to choose Physics you'll get opportunity to get the engeneering course in CU rather than your masters. And the campusing here in CU for engeneering courses ar very good also.
Fees and Financial Aid
City College is under University Of Calcutta. It's estd in 1881 and the Physics department is one of the most reputated and oldest department of this college. The fee structure in this college is friendly and bearable for the students. The semester wise fee is about 3200-3500. And there are 2 semesters per year so the yearly fee is less than 7000. Also we have the facility of Swami Vivekananda scholarship, for BSC students they pay 24 thousand per year.
Campus Life
Here we celebrated many departmental seminars. The foods given are always very good. Also the seminar lectures are always good and understandable. The teachers will always encourage you for the higher studies. The library is also very good here. You can access many books and can keep with you for the semester. If you're from science background but you have interest on something more topics rather than science you can get the books also.
Admission
The main motive to get this college is for my subject that is Physics. Here the Physics department is 100+ year old and very reputated. And also the fee structure here is also very good and can be manageable for the students. City College takes less amount of money rather than other colleges.
Faculty
You've to study well for university exams. A person can easily get supply in the exams. A internal test happens before every university semester exams. Class load is not that much in City College but you have to study as much as possible to get good sgpa in University of Calcutta. There is one internal of 10 marks and 10 marks for attendance, 50 marks theory exam for BSC (Physics Hons) and 30 marks of practical exam. The theory exam of 50 marks and practical exam of 30 marks is away centre. Only the internals happens on college campus.
