Likes
- The faculty and teachers are very very helpful and supportive.
- The departmental library is quite efficient.
- The infrastructure is improving and the lab is very much accessible.
Dislikes
- The rate of canteen is very high and it's no worth it.
- The infrastructure is improving but very slowly. Not sure if I'd be able to see it before I pass out the college.
- I don't like the college union. Though it's quite helpful but i don't like it's ideology.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course I chose has quite scope. The course curriculum is nice and good for knowledge gaining. The outside exposure is not much, still it tries to provide practical knowledge as well. Thqe teaching methods are very effective. The exams are not much difficult, one can easily ace the exams if studies well.
Fees and Financial Aid
We approximately spend around Rs.7000 per year on the fees. Every student in our course and year pays the same fees. There are some scholarships like the vivekananda scheme but as it's only applicable for bpl or ews students, I don't get its benefit
Campus Life
The overall campus life experience is not bad.... the infrastructure has a lot of space for improvement but the social life covers it all as the knowledge provided and Friendship gained is something I'm really thankful for. The library and the lab is very much accessible as well.
Admission
I chose this college because it has a reputation to be one of the best colleges in the Kolkata city under Calcutta University. The admission process is not much difficult. The eligibility is to be 12 pass under any recognised board. No admission exam is required.
Faculty
The faculty is quite helpful and efficient. The help is given in not much time. The teachers are extremely competent and knowledgeable about their subjects. The exams are held every semester i.e. 6 months.
Night Life
There is no night life as it is an afternoon college and there is no hostel facility. The cafeteria provides nice food but its prices are not really worth it. The departmental library is open till the college hours. The timings are from 11am to 16:15 pm.
