The college will make you industry ready and the college will also help you to prepare your mindset for the real world and the upcoming challenges in your life. They also ask you to prepare PPT which will enhance your Job skills And there are many extra curriculum activities provided by the college, which includes many types of indoor and outdoor games and events like fashion shows, singing, competitions, and art competitions, which enhances your skills

My decision to pursue English was not quite influenced by the curriculum but rather my own keen towards literature from childhood. As for our curriculum which the NEP has recently introduced, I personally feel burdening students with various other subjects apart from their actual course (for example, the CVAC, IDC papers) really diverts, confuses and adds unnecessary stress to student. It distract students from actually working on their major paper.

The course curriculum has been satisfactory for me. Oue faculty makes the materials even more interesting and as an english honours student, an affection towards the subject is very necessary for pursuing it.

I studied Humanities in Class 11 & 12. In my 12th Boards I got 97% in best 5 subjects. In college I have opted for Bachelor of Honours in English. This Degree mainly focuses on English Literature and it's History. In the First Semester our syllabus focuses on Poetry. This subject is a good choice for those having passion for Literature and Book reading.

From the final semester, the students get placements offer. Till now, companies like Amazon, Tata, IBM etc have visited and made offers to plenty of students and offered jobs too. Percentage of students are roughly 60% based on placements. For me, after having an English Hons degree, i would sit for the cat exam and pursue MBA. Later when I am independent and have a stable job and life, i wish to sit for UPSC and do civil services.

It's a very good course and I love the way they teach us about every single detail about our course, from the top to the bottom of the syllabus. And yeah it is quite a difficult course but the teachers and their teaching skills make it easy.

Scottish Church College has got one of the best faculty for English department. Their professors are highly qualified for their job, each with a fame of their own and since I wanted to continue my studies in English, i chose this college. The curriculum the college follows is the one set by the Calcutta University and it's a vast syllabus to be followed by the students and faculty members. The syllabus has got many important works which helps a student if they are willing to do a masters of art degree in English. But there's an area which needs to be improved which is the time given to complete the syllabus. The exams are quite difficult and lengthy based on time, 3 hrs is given to write a paper of 65 marks, which is quite sufficient on pen and paper but in the exam hall, it would feel like if only there was a little bit more time because the answers you write have to be lengthy to fit the 15 marks each question quota.

I was quite interested in writing poetries, and articles and had a fascination for Indian and British literature from school. Scottish Church college just gave me the golden opportunity to explore my literature skills.

The college is a cesspool of political drama and a tyrannical principal. Please avoid at all costs.
