IHM Kolkata Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Our college's placement is very great. Almost 90 percent of the students of our college get a job after completing the course. Some of the students of our college do masters also after completing the 3 years course.

The placements are not so good to be honest even though you will get lots of options like in hotel, retails and QSR Fields. The package will be from 2 lakhs to -4 lakhs per annum. Some brands are like taj Oberoi star bucks reliance Aditya Birla CCD Leela Palace etc

I choose this course because this is the only entrance exam that I have cleared. Faculty: student ratio is well every subject has more than 3 or 4 teachers. All teachers have their master's degrees and their teaching style is very friendly. Each semester of 6 months after 3 months there is a midterm exam and after 6 months/ each semester there is end term exam. It is not difficult to pass because all the questions were asked from the syllabus.

It is not too difficult, but one needs to prepare for the exam thoroughly. A three-month preparation will be enough. There are maths, general intelligence, English subjects in the NCHMCT exam. I choose the course because it's a career-related course, a professional course. There are enough faculty in the college. They are well qualified and experienced. Exams were taken semesters basis.

College provides 100 % campus placement to its students. Many big Hotels like Oberoi, Taj, ITC etc come for the recruiting students from here. Alumni from Ihm Kolkata are working globally with big properties. Apart from Hotels, many retails also come for the recruitment like pantaloons, metro cash and carry etc. Salary ranges from 25k to 30k for MT and around 20k for OT.

IHM Kolkata provides 100% placement. Big brands and hotel chains come for campusing in the college. Hotel Chains like Oberoi, Taj, ITC, JW Marriott, etc. Brands like Calvin Klein, etc. come and offer jobs. The highest package offered is 360000 per annum. The average package is 200000. All students get placements. I have plans of either getting a good Management Trainee program in a big brand and going abroad.

The highest package was 6 LPA and the average package for the year 2019-2020 was 3.6 LPA There are total 4 profiles on which the recruitment is done by companies:- Associate, OT, MT & Executive.

From 5th sem the students are eligible for the campus placement and our collage provides 100% placement alone with companies coming From world wide for eg Oberoi, ITC, Jw Marriott, Taj, Hyatt and many more and almost 100% students gets their placement, after degree you can choose a department from Food nd Beverage, Food Production, Front office and Housekeeping, I will.
