After giving NCHMCT JEE 2024 i lost hope that I cannot clear the exam and applied to IIHM and gave PI there. I was selected in IIHM and when NCHM results were declared i cleared that too surprisingly with an AIR 500. Then there were many process. Like registration fees for 2k and then selection of college and they will allot a college to us according to our score. I got chosen by IHM Kolkata at first only.

IHM Kolkata an experience

In order to take admission in any IHM we need to give JEE exam for Hotel Managment and depending on your rank they allow you to choose the college of your liking. E.g My All india rank was 803 which allowed me to choose from top seven colloges of IHM. I opted for Kolkata as it was close to my hometown. I never applied to any other college, i was focused on getting into IHM and I did on my first try.

To get into this college or any Central Government run college you will have to appear in a exam NCHM JEE you get the cut off for your desired college. The reason I choose this college as it was in the ranking of 4th best and also my rank according to the marks was suitable for this college.

Facts about IHM KOLKATA

Eligibility course is 12th. After 12th you have to fill the NCHMCT JEE form and on the basis of rank you can select your dream college. Various reservation is given such as EWS, OBC etc. The timing of the exam is there is 2 exam in a semester one is mid term exam and second is End term exam

The entrance exam is Nchm jee and you will find it from the Nta portal. you have to get english as our subject in the 10+2 exam and there are reservation facilities as per rule and have to take the exam in Maths Eng Gk current affairs and min cut off 2143 rank for ihm Kolkata.

This is one of the top Central Government Colleges that offers Hotel Management Courses, so for this it is a must to take an Entrance Exam named - NCHMCT JEE (National Council Of Hotel Management and Catering Technology) to get this college that is IHM Kolkata, if you are General you have to keep your rank within 2000, and if you are SC or ST you can get here easily as because is goes up to 20,000 and up, so as improvement I want the cutoff of SC and ST should come down as this is totally unfair to the general candidates as there is a gap of perhaps more than 20000.

The registration has been closed for batch 2022. The form will be out in February 2023 for batch 2023. The examination will be conducted in June 2023. It will be followed by a group discussion and a personal interview.
