Yes, there is an entrance exam for the Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition, Hyderabad (IHM Hyderabad). From the fifth semester / 3rd year we become eligible for campus placements at various hotels along with retail chains like Domino Mcdonald's, Pizza Hut, Taj, and Marriott. The highest package was 6 lakhs per annum and the lowest was 2.5 lakhs per annum and around 90% of students get placement.
NCHMCT is considered only for admission to IHM Hyderabad B.Sc. course. However, there is PG diploma course as well for which admission are provided on the basis of Entrance Examination conducted as per the norms of the council.
IHM Hyderabad does not provide admissions directly. The NCHMCT JEE is the basis for admission at IHM Hyderabad. For PG courses, students are required to take the NCHM JEE and show up for the counselling round. Candidates are chosen on the basis of merit for the PG Diploma and Certificate programmes, and then they are interviewed.
