Remarks

I applied to two colleges one is iihm and the second is nchm. And I got selected in both but left the iihm option cause I got selected in ihm which is better as it is a government college. I availed obc quota, and i provided obc certificate. To take admission on ihm Kolkata you have to appear for the nchmct-jee exam which is held at an India level basis and based on your score and rank you'll get college options. my rank was 2000 under obc and I opted for ihm Kolkata. On counseling day you will be provided q list of college names and you have to arrange in order with your preference that which college you want.

Course Curriculum Overview

I pursue my carrier in the line of cabin crew that's why I chose this course. 3:4 Nowadays they are teaching online and teaching methods are good Term exams happen every 3 months and they are not so hard to pass

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Placement Experience

In 3rd year students get eligible for campus placement. But they can do the internship in the 2nd year and get a job there after completion of the course. Itc royal Bengal, Oberoi, and many more companies visit ihm Kolkata

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is the same for all and there is no scholarship functionality. My seniors got a job in itc royal Bengal. In my point of view, they are very cheap as co pared to iihm cause they are private college.

Campus Life

Events really happens a lot in ihm Kolkata around 2 times within a month. The library is big enough, which contains all types of books. We actually never saw the classroom cause of covid Sports activities are not done due to the current situation

Build a Career with NSHM Durgapur

Placement Experience:

Most of students get more than 2 placements. They placement is over in 1 Month and now a lot of students are being placed in Europe, USA, Mauritius with a very good package. They are also placing students in Retails, FMCG, Entertainment and other areas. But i think the fee that we pay, we can get back only in third year when students can go for Internship, as they can earn more than 6-7 Lakhs and palcements is just too good.

NSHM Hotel and Tourism Management, Durgapur - A Place to Study

Placement Experience:

Students are given placements before the final year. A lot of companies come with Oberoi, Taj, Marriott and others. International Placements is done through companies who conduct online interviews, but i dont know what paramters they ask in interview. But placements is 100%. Placements in India is around 4LPA while International it is more than 12-15 LPA

After giving NCHMCT JEE 2024 i lost hope that I cannot clear the exam and applied to IIHM and gave PI there. I was selected in IIHM and when NCHM results were declared i cleared that too surprisingly with an AIR 500. Then there were many process. IHM Kolkata an experience

In order to take admission in any IHM we need to give JEE exam for Hotel Managment and depending on your rank they allow you to choose the college of your liking. E.g My All india rank was 803 which allowed me to choose from top seven colloges of IHM. I opted for Kolkata as it was close to my hometown.
