- The college have very strict rules and regulations for entering and exiting the premises
- The facultys are retired work men from specific background so there was no douth about there expertise
- The practical labs are well maintained and the practicals are quite frequent so handling expensive items makes easy
Dislikes
- The campus is too small and there is no extra activities to participate in
- There is an annual fest every year but it charges a huge sum of money in fees
Course Curriculum Overview
The couse i have applied is bachelor of culinary science In this curriculum the college offered me various cooking methods and cooking insights during the 1st year of the college During 2nd year we wear taught how to open a buisness and turn it into a profitable assets most of the 2nd year curriculum was about that In 3rd year we were have a 6 months internship in various hotels all over the country some were allotted abroad
Internships Opportunities
I was interviewed for 3 companies during my internship trials I joined kelinworth resort and spa goa for 6 month traning internship I was mostly helping others and taking notes for advance bakery. 6 months was full of paid learning ???? I was switched between 4 different departments having almost 14 hours of work per day with 1 week off It was hard and enjoying as the same time
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for campus placement after 5th semister Many companies like Taj hotels Marriott Kenilworth spa and resort Westin Fairfield Many companies were there in placement interviewes My plans after getting the degree was to simple work under any good hotel for 4-5 years then to have own buisness cafe
Fees and Financial Aid
The 3 years tuition fees was 2,95,000 with Addmission fees of 52,000 There was a concession of 15,000 if the tuition fees paid full at a time 8% of concession given to sc/st/obc/girls/ward of army personnel Uniform charges 10,000 for 1st year and 6,000 for 2nd year Educational tour is compalsary with a 25,000 fees And a processing fees of 20,200 per annum
Campus Life
As a hotel management college our annual fest is mostly of " Food Fest" Our college celebrate the food fest around the month of October We mostly gather, have food , drinks something Some students perform on stage like modeling,dance , ramp walk etc
Admission
I didnt apply for more colleges. Sbhim was an option that time but that college was new at that time and i didnt like the environment Where ihm was in the main strees of sector 5 Kolkata and it really helpd in my transportation Most of the management college were chargeing huge fees for tuition so i preferred this college.
Faculty
The faculty to students ratio is like 1:40 1 faculty for 40-45 students and the faculties are quite easy to approach and helps when in need One the best faculty was Chef Abhirup who always help a student not just in academic need but in more ways There was several exam through out the year 2 semister exam and 8 ca exam to be specific and most of them are easy to clear
Night Life
The college is situated on the main streets of sector 5 Kolkata There are major malls, parks , shopping marts, gyms, bars Everything is around the college campus Some of the main attraction are Asis mall Nico park Eco park Pvr central
