Industrial training

To join any IHM across India you have to sit of nchmct exam, after the results you'll get rank and can sit for counselling and according to your rank you'll get your collage, their is no marks needed, all you have to do is get a good rank.

A lot of opportunity is open if you have a hotel management ratio, the ratio of faculty:students is like 1:50, the faculty of IHM are really good, educated and with well background, much qualified to teach, the exam is not much difficult if you're from English medium background, those who are from other medium I've seen them to struggle but if you want you can get good marks in exam

Basically, you can choose a hotel according to your preference and college will contact the hotel and provide you interview, the striped which you'll get during the internship will be very less compared to the work you're going to do, and you have to work in every department during your industrial training. I've selected Mayfair bbsr and work their for 4month as a trainee and the stipend was 1000 rs

From 5th sem the students are eligible for the campus placement and our collage provides 100% placement alone with companies coming From world wide for eg Oberoi, ITC, Jw Marriott, Taj, Hyatt and many more and almost 100% students gets their placement, after degree you can choose a department from Food nd Beverage, Food Production, Front office and Housekeeping, I will. Fees is 100000 re every year, no scholarship, you'll only get stipend during your training which is for four months during second year, the cost of study is little high but you'll get a lot of opportunity with your degree

Their are a lot of program the Institute is involved with and you are allowed to participate and sometimes they even provide certificate, sufficient books are available in library along with desktop and internet which is required for any course-related research. Classroom even have digital board help to study and for presentation, sports week is celebrated once in a year and other extracurricular activities is provided by the Institute from time to time and you can even participate to show your talent

The room is provided with a basic utility like bed, fan, light, wardrobe, study table and chair along with it and a common bathroom. The hostel food is worst, it really should improve, I'll suggest you rent a room or PG which is very affordable in Kolkata and transportation is also much available and Room Or PG will be best if you want freedom. After admission, before starting of college you can register for a hostel through your Institute
