The amazing faculty who are passionate about teaching and always willing to help
The huge range of scholarship opportunities available for university student ranging from partial scholarship cover tution fees only and living cost they also offers 1 lakh worth of scholorship every year
There are fests, annual prize distribution for academic ,sports performance there are also book fairs, all festivals like lohri and holi are celebrated by gathering of students in ground or auditorium

Dislikes

There is not much anything to dislike. Students can get problems due to timetable as sometimes we don't have a free lecture.
Unwanted charges before exams is one of the bad thing of college
Many parties do unfair activities to win. May be its just to enhance rhe knowledge and competitions skills but sometimes students do wrong things but as i said the students who arent well disciplined are rusticated from our college. Our college has g

SD College: My second home.

Likes

the infrastructure of the college is good and the sports and ncc is also good.
the faculty of the college is the best in chandigarh
best for the co curricular activities and best in academics also

Dislikes

the placements in the college is very less and equal to zero
no indoor games in the college and not good environment in the election time.
hostel facility is also not good and the fees is also very much as compared to the facilities

the teaching method of the college is good, you have to study yourself also. we are provided with the facilities like library so we can study in that and have a good time studying. the teaching methods are good. we have our half yearly exams called mst and then final pu exams.

SD College Chandigarh : Pros and Cons

Likes

Lush green campus with a lot of trees and plants . Good college infrastructure and well maintained classrooms
Great library with a lot of reading options . Good and supportive staff . Good play area and one main auditorium and two mini auditoriums .
Inbuit college app for ease of student . Very less paper work which makes the studemt experience very convenient and hassle free .

Dislikes

No space for indoor games . There should be an indoor badmintor court and proper sports facilities . There very less sports facilities in the college.
Very high fines imposed on students . The amount of fine is much higher than other colleges and this is one of the major issues in the college.
Small campus is again one thing i disliked . The campus size is very small and the hostel timings should be increased .

Placement Experience:

Placements are the biggest drawback of the college . There is almost zero placements in the college . Very less students gets placement but the average packge is very less . The students can apply for jobs after the course is over bit thats a very hactic process .

Dislikes

Less scholarships are given. I think meritorious students should be given fee concessions.
Fine structure is so high at the end of even semesters. It should be reduced.
More extra curricular activities should be conducted so that students from all departments could engage well

I opted for MA ECONOMICS and I think it's my best decision to apply for this course in GGDSD COLLEGE as the economics faculty is so good. Teachers are so humble that they explain to each and every concept with such intensive and deep knowledge by giving practical real life examples. The pattern and examinations everything is well suited to the needs keeping in view the future of the students.

Likes

The faculty members are really good and caring towards the students.
The clubs of college are really well developed which helps students in boosting confidence.
Also the college has a ngo which is doing best to serve the nation .

Dislikes

The infrastructure is not that good . It needs to be improved.
The canteen is not having proper sitting and the shed.
The benches and fans are not that much in good working conditions and needs a change or repair.

As I wish to make my career in civil service. The curriculum for my selected course is apt and relates with the syllabus of my competitive exams. The curriculum is not much preparing for the further academic pursuits but enough to qualify further steps of academic. The areas of improvement include some more deep studies of specific important topics .

I like crowd and the campus life, its a whole vibe!
There are many clubs and anybody can interview to join these clubs and societies.
I like most of the faculty of my department, some teachers are very helpful.

Dislikes

Some of the faculty is not great, very unhelpful and arrogant.
Attendance has to be 75% which is okay but the fine is excruciatingly high
If a student missed the mid semester tests, they have to reappear but even if u do reappear or not, u still need to pay a high fine.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Apart from the main exams, mid semester tests are held which are necessary to pass in order to give the final exams. The curriculum is moderate level and most of the teachers are good at their job, in my department for example, we are to buy the notes that are made by our teacher instead of books.

Campus life is incredible. There is friendly environment
Canteen 's food is incredible and not that much costly
Courses fees is not that much high it is affordable

Dislikes

Parking facility is not that much good as expected
There is no badminton court or tennis court
There is no swimming pool and there is always rush near parking and canteen

As i want to prepare for civil services exam so i choose this course which will help me further in competitive exam. the political science helps me in understanding daily real life political activites and current affairs

I like College infrastructure and discipline in the college
Admission process of my college is very simple
They solve all the queries very accurately and calmly

Bba course is very good.Faculty members are also very understandable. Teachers can solve all the problems. Improvement is only that 75% should not necessary otherwise it is very good college. We have 2 semester per year and exams are also twice a year based on semester.

Likes

Campus life is very good and memorable for me
Faculty members are very friendly in nature.
Atmosphere of my college is also very good.

Dislikes

Cafeteria needs some add on in their menu
Air conditioner in summers are also necessary
Cleanliness can also improved and it helps the campus look more beautiful

I have choosen degree of bachelor of business administration because I wanted to start my career in management field exams are held semester wise and difficulty level is moderate and timming is of 3hrs for the exam.
