Likes

The faculty members are really good and caring towards the students.
The clubs of college are really well developed which helps students in boosting confidence.
Also the college has a ngo which is doing best to serve the nation .

Dislikes

The infrastructure is not that good . It needs to be improved.
The canteen is not having proper sitting and the shed.
The benches and fans are not that much in good working conditions and needs a change or repair.

Course Curriculum Overview

As I wish to make my career in civil service. The curriculum for my selected course is apt and relates with the syllabus of my competitive exams. The curriculum is not much preparing for the further academic pursuits but enough to qualify further steps of academic. The areas of improvement include some more deep studies of specific important topics .

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 28554 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure is great according to me . Also scholarships are given to underprivileged and minorities. Special scholarships are been given to students who do sports and make college proud with their achievements.i don't exactly know if merit students are given scholarships .

Campus Life

The most hardworking club i found of the college is the sd aadarsh foundation which is helping people who are in need . Also the college annual fest named virasat was remarkable as renowned singers were invited. Library has variety of books to read and issue. The reading room helps students to study for their exams in peaceful and silent atmosphere.

Admission

The admission process was totally based on the merit base for the course I opted . My percentage was 92 and I got my admission done easily in the first round itself. The orientation was held in which all the rules regarding college was discussed briefly. The forms were easily available on the college website.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty have great knowledge of their particular subjects. They teach with core of their heart and always ready to support and help in tough situations. They encourage their students to join the clubs related to their subjects so that we can gain more experience and learning about the subject. One con is that some times teachers do become lazy but thats totally understandable.

The Best Life of PGGC-11

Placement Experience:

Obviously the placements are offered in the final year but due to the NEP 2020. Various interships are provided to the students of even first year ones. Companies like Airtel, Amazon India, BYJU's, HCL, IBM, Infosys, Wipro, etc have offered placements to the students in their companies. The average package students can expect is around 2-3 lakhs per annum and the highest package would be around 10-15 lakhs. The percentage of students getting placements varies from 5-7% only.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As of i know the ggdsd college of chandigarh is considered the best college in chandigarh, and their psychology program is really good and that's why i choose it. The curriculum prepares us in many ways, they organize different types of activities and they even tell us about interships and how to grab them. I don't think that the curriculum needs any type of improvement, it is quite good. I don't have any problem with the frequency and the timing of the exams and their difficulty is also on medium-hard level.

GGDSD COLLEGE FROM STUDENTS PERSEPECTIVE

Elgibility was easy as people for any background rather say commerce , arts , non medical or medical . College doesnt have any entrance exam for admission.Students are admitted through centralized admission under DHE chandigarh. Punjab university offers admission to those students those have good grades in class 12th. Eligibiltity of my course was just on my 12th class's board percentage. You can find the application form, application fees and application dates on the official website of GGDSD COLLEGE, CHANDIGARH There are reservered seats for specific castes although i am from general category so i did not get any type of reservation. The exams are held every 5 to 6 months after the semester end. And they are held from 9:30am to 12:30pm and 2 pm to 5pm.
