The course I chose MA ENGLISH has covered all the important literature from the world as well as India in these 2 year course duration. The timings of exams is well suited to the needs of the students.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 30000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fees is Rs. 29000 and additional Rs. 5000 is charged for examination fees in one year. I think the fee structure is quite high as compared to other colleges. And reservations are also provided but to a limited extent.

Campus Life

Campus life and overall experience including the social environment of the college is wonderful. Various fests, Farewells, Freshers, Sports meet and many other functions are been organised to enhance the talents and skills of the students.

Admission

Admission process is through online filling of application forms and admission process is through merit basis. Reservations benefits are give but to a limited extent and mostly the admissions are on merit basis.

The faculty members are High degree holders and professors are Phd holders who hold a very informative hold over education. The interaction among teachers and students is great which enables students to diversify their areas of knowledge.

Placement Experience:

The minimum value of package is 3.5Lpa and it goes up to 12Lpa depending upon the course and the ability of the students My plan after this degree is to clear the net/jrf because i want to be a professor in my respective subject.

The course curriculum is lengthy and monotonous. It is time consuming and the semesters are short. Usually a semesters lasts for not more than 4 months we get very little time to prepare for our exams. Also the syllabus needs to be updated and changed.

Department of Political Science - An Enthusiastic and Active Arm of Panjab University

Course Curriculum Overview:

The best thing about this curriculum is that it is non very burdensome for us and easy to navigate through. It is well divided into multiple units making it easier to navigate through. For example - there is this course of key concepts in the very first semester which lays foundation for upcoming all semesters. Similarly in the first semester, we are taught Constitution of India laying the basics very clear . I personally choosed this course due to my interest and it's application in almost every competition exam out there. There can be a little bit improvement regarding the introduction of research methodology courses. Since there are no courses yet, it often cause a problem for students who want to pursue PhD in future. The frequency of exams is fine enough as there is a lot of time for us to adjust in the new semester and enjoy all the curricular and co curricular activities without a constant load of examinations all the time. This is the best thing I find.

Elgibility was easy as people for any background rather say commerce , arts , non medical or medical . College doesnt have any entrance exam for admission.Students are admitted through centralized admission under DHE chandigarh. Punjab university offers admission to those students those have good grades in class 12th. Eligibiltity of my course was just on my 12th class's board percentage. You can find the application form, application fees and application dates on the official website of GGDSD COLLEGE, CHANDIGARH There are reservered seats for specific castes although i am from general category so i did not get any type of reservation. The exams are held every 5 to 6 months after the semester end. And they are held from 9:30am to 12:30pm and 2 pm to 5pm.
