Economics in Pu Chandigarh

The course curriculum is relevant and you have 4 subjects every semester,with the syllabus in accordance with the UGC,which is available on the department website.You have semester exams,alongwith mid semester tests too.

Various internships are provided and they are made available to you through the knowledge about them in the WhatsApp group by the placement cell.Many students enjoy good internships at NITI Aayog,UNICEF, etc.

Fees structure is same for all in the department:- 12465 per year and in two semesters installments. Scholarships are also available like merit cum need and others too.You have to give the society fee ,too of 500 rs every semester along with the examination fee differently of 3000 approx.

We have an Economics society,with elections every year for the 4 posts,along with department representative and CR at the class level . An annual sports meet is also conducted every year and every festival is celebrated enthusiastically.

In a hostel room,you get a single bed,a cupboard,a table and a chair. Food is also provided in the hostel, with the canteen all three times and the message opens for lunch and dinner. The meal quality is ok. For hostel ,every department have seats alloted and they are alloted on merit basis.

I applied only for this,and the application process includes the entrance PU- CET PG conducted in June every year.Cutoff depends on the exam level and the number of students giving the entrance.Seats are also reserved for OBC,SC,ST,SINGLE GIRL CHILD etc.

The faculty here is brilliant and you have specific doubt sessions ,where the teachers are duly available for you.You have different teacher for every subject with a class of 50 mins each.The exams are also moderate and you can clear them ,if you study well.

The campus is very safe and the hostels are open 24*7 ,with no timings issue.The STU-C is the most famous for food ,and most of the departments have their own canteens.The AC Joshi Library is also open every day,with huge sitting capacity and study friendly atmosphere.
