College total fees for one year is around Rs17000. Here I am giving some details for one semester fee structure. Admission fee 50 Tuition 360 Red cross 50 NSS 20 Security 1000 Exam fee 800 Comp. & Internet 600 Science fee 800 Electricity 1080 Student activities 300 I card 100 Building fund 500 Environment fee 400 Councelling fee 125 Needy students fund 50 University registration fee 1080 Library fund 700 Water charges 400 Some other charges are also applicable. This is for one semester, around 9000 For next semester, it excludes security fee 1000 , which makes nearly 17000 for a whole year. This fee structure is for Bachelor of Science (non-medical) students. For medical students, it's around 19 thousand. For arts and commerce, it's around 15 or 16 thousand.

Course Curriculum Overview

I have done my 12th with science non-medical stream. I chose this course as I wanted to get a bachelor degree for my eligibility to fill forms for the govt exams. Also, Mathematics was my favourite subject. So, I chose this course to gain some extra knowledge. The don't provide opportunities for placements. So its a big drawback for college. Teaching method is too good. All teachers have good knowledge. So I don't have any problem with their teaching method. Exams conducted at the end of every semester. But teacher took monthly exams to check students preparation and give internal assessment marks based on their performance. The difficulty level is moderate. Getting passing marks is just a piece of cake.

Hlo my college name is Post graduate government college sector 11 in Chandigarh. It ranged from Rs 20,000 to 26,000 yearly depending upon the semesters as a bsc student. The fees were to be paid on a semester basis after completion of each semester you will buy new books at all. College fees is affordable and one thing is this is government college, and teachers are also good and understanding.

Course Curriculum Overview

As far as we consider that textbook knowledge is not the real world knowledge. And that is 100% truth. So in this case scenario the college helped a lot and took initiatives for students to arrange things. Also they held practical also.

Hi! My name is Annu. I had done my graduation from GVM girls college,Sonepat. I did BSC Non- medical with a lot of experiences. My course fees for 1st year ,2nd year and 3rd year is 20,000 , 18,000 and 17,800 respectively. I stayed in hostel for three years with 70,000 RS yearly. The mess diet is 3,000 RS per month. The atmosphere of both college and sonepat are friendly. I made lots of friends. The teachers and wardens are also behave politely . I had learnt many things there other than studies. The college motives the students for other activities. I also participated in poem , essay and skit compititions. There are a number of seminars in our college. The college increases awareness of social activities among the students. Honourable Chief minister, sh. Manohar Lal khattar, of haryana had visited in our college for open ceremony of college's auditorium. Our college also careful for students entertainment. Hence , I can say that my college is best for student of graduation and masters degree. And, I love my college!

We had sufficient numbers of teachers like there were two to three teachers of same subject for different types of courses and even for the same course we had different teachers for theory and lab work. Although I liked the math professor Dr Renu as she was so dedicated and focused. Although most of the teachers are like that but there is two or three teachers which were good in their subjects but their teaching is just average. You will have exams according to your course as I had 8 to 11 exams per semester so I would say around 48 exams I gave.

Fees and Financial Aid

Around 12000 in first year Around 15000 in second year Around 19000 in third year This fee included everything like functions , travel fee for competitions, costumes and fresher's or farewell party. The students are asked to pay for just the college trip. The only scholarship that I saw was for the rank holders which was around 10K and the students belonging to minority.

Campus Life

There was a very good experience in the campus. We used to go the the picnics in the college we used to celebrate all the perticular days of the year. Like teachers day mothers day etc. As i mentioned before it was an government college so there was a big library that was always open for the students to read or to take books to home. There was also a big playground in the college premises and also a good physical education staff so we always go to the ground to play games like cricket, volleyball, football etc.

Faculty

Faculty student ratio was good .But the teachers were not good enough to teach students they have good qualification but they dont take there jobs as they had to . My best teacher according to me was burhan sir because he was consistent to classes and he provide goodstudy material. The teacher i disliked was rafiq sir because he was not good enough to become a teacher. There were only 6 exams in three years and those exams were our semester end exams on those exam basisi we were promoted to next semester.

Faculty

In every department their are 7-8 experienced teachers. In our computer science department teachers were full of practical knowledge and their is 2:50 raito of teachers to students. If anyone ask doubt they respond to it very well Facilities were very cooperative like Our Satender sir were very helpful he has s deep practical knowledge about programming language and helped us There were not any teachers who we didn't liked because they helped us everytime. There are 15 exams and 3 practicals in bsc non medical every year and about 40-50% students fail to clear exam because they didn't attend classes regularly and course curriculum is very much relevant as it covers all aspects of study.

Fees and Financial Aid

First year fees is about 5400 fro bsc computer application (non med) and it decreases to 4540 for next two years. College provide NSP, stipend for sc-bc and Post matric scholarship for obc and sc students. Pose scholarship for projects is also there in which a student recieve whopping 60k per year and is provided to Students who are in top 1% in state in 12th exams. Fees for Sc is 3000 approx and overall it is very affordable and every second student recieve on or another scholarship in the college.

Faculty

Every subject teacher is available in their own subject department . As i am a science student so i only know science teachers and i observed that chemistry department is just irritating and rude on the other side physics department is awesome Dr. Vikas Duggal is my favourite in physics department Mathematics teachers are also good by nature and teaches well College conducts house examination before one month of final exams 30 % students failed to pass the exam

Course Curriculum Overview

I was approached to college to get admission in bachelor of science in computer science but a teacher influence me to choose Non medical and i regret it now this is a serious problem that why they give pressure to students to select course according to them . It should be the choice of student it should be improved chemistry department have to become polite with students and donot torture them house examinations are comparatively difficult to final exams

● Top Answer By Shruti Singh on 13 Oct 22

Ans. Practicals for first-year B.Sc students are held in February for the July session. Practicals are usually held on Sundays at around 9 a.m. Boys and girls have their rooms. When the assistant finishes the distribution work, the teacher asks you to write two experiments with the aim, requirements, method, theory, and everything with tables. The teacher announces the student's name. He then asks a few questions regarding the same before concluding the practicals. You just have to keep the file handy and create a beautiful piece. Ques. Is IGNOU good for B.Sc?

● Top Answer By Shivangi Guha on 07 Apr 22

Ans. Yes, IGNOU offers decent BSc courses. Although it is a distance learning degree, the course work is heavy. You will have to submit assignments and attend practical classes regularly. IGNOU has a strict evaluation system. You need to go thoroughly through the study materials to score well. Pursuing the degree along with a full-time job or full-time degree will be hectic. Ques. What are the future prospects of getting a BSc degree from DU? What are the best colleges in DU?

● Top Answer By Prashant Mathur on 12 Oct 22

Ans.  In today's world, getting a bachelor's degree from any college isn't worth much. DU has a brand name, but if your overall grades aren't good enough, having a degree from Delhi University is pointless. By providing many resources and an intellectual environment, Delhi University will assist you in exploring various aspects of your personality. However, if you have a bachelor's degree in any of the Science subjects or even Mathematics, you will need to do a master's or even a PhD to get a decent-paying job. However, if you are an SRCC or Stephens graduate, you may be able to get a good placement from the college itself if you have a degree in Arts or Commerce with above-average marks. The best colleges vary depending on your subject, such as SRCC for those interested in commerce. Stephen's is also regarded as one of the most prestigious universities. Other good colleges include Miranda House, Hindu, and Lady Shri Ram.Read more

Ans. In order to get admission to the MSc program of IITs, you have to appear in the IIT JAM examination. This requires BSc Hons or a major in Physics, Chemistry or Mathematics. IGNOUs BSc major program has an option of a Physics major(48 credits of physics course out of total 96 credit for major in physics), Chemistry major(40 credits for major), Mathematics major or a BSc (General).
