- College don't provide placement opportunity.
- Sports ground is too far from the main campus. That's why students don't go to the ground and avoid sports activities.
- The college just started its co-ed policy. So, the number of girls is too less. Around 1:6 ratio for girls to boys.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have done my 12th with science non-medical stream. I chose this course as I wanted to get a bachelor degree for my eligibility to fill forms for the govt exams. Also, Mathematics was my favourite subject. So, I chose this course to gain some extra knowledge. The don't provide opportunities for placements. So its a big drawback for college. Teaching method is too good. All teachers have good knowledge. So I don't have any problem with their teaching method. Exams conducted at the end of every semester. But teacher took monthly exams to check students preparation and give internal assessment marks based on their performance. The difficulty level is moderate. Getting passing marks is just a piece of cake.
Fees and Financial Aid
College total fees for one year is around Rs17000. Here I am giving some details for one semester fee structure. Admission fee 50 Tuition 360 Red cross 50 NSS 20 Security 1000 Exam fee 800 Comp. & Internet 600 Science fee 800 Electricity 1080 Student activities 300 I card 100 Building fund 500 Environment fee 400 Councelling fee 125 Needy students fund 50 University registration fee 1080 Library fund 700 Water charges 400 Some other charges are also applicable. This is for one semester, around 9000 For next semester, it excludes security fee 1000 , which makes nearly 17000 for a whole year. This fee structure is for Bachelor of Science (non-medical) students. For medical students, it's around 19 thousand. For arts and commerce, it's around 15 or 16 thousand.
Campus Life
My college experience was good. As the starting of co-ed policy, there are girls in the college for the first time in bachelor courses. So its a good experience to have opposite gender around yourself. Presence of opposite gender makes you work harder than others as you try to show yourself above than others. The college sports ground was too far from college campus. So , I never bother to go to the ground for sports. There were social groups of students like INSO etc.
Admission
I belong to Sonipat. Hindu College is the best college for me. Other nearby college don't focus on study materials as much as my college teacher do. Also , college have strict rule for attendance, So students have to be disciplined to maintain his good record. I didn't applied for any other colleges as Hindu College was best and not so far from my village. Admission process is so simple. Just fill a form online and then college will display a cutoff list for eligible students. Eligibility is atleast 45% marks in 12th class.
Faculty
Faculties are good. Teachers are very hardworking. Their mindset is to provide full knowledge about every topic of their regarding subjects. Sometimes, teacher annoy students over low attendance, that's why many students don't like them. But they have good knowledge their respective subject so students respect them for it. If a student attended 70% of the total classes , he could easily pass the exams. Teachers also take class tests regularly. So, students have to revise the subjects time to time which makes it easier during main exams to pass.
Night Life
As the college is so close to railway station, there are much cafes to hangout. Murthal is nearly 8km far. Students can go there to enjoy almost every kind of food items. Also there is too many hangout places in murthal. College don't have any hostel facility. If you live far from college, you have to go to any PG near college. Students can find zym and libraries near college. Both are available at just walking distance from college.
