The amazing faculty who are passionate about teaching and always willing to help
The huge range of scholarship opportunities available for university student ranging from partial scholarship cover tution fees only and living cost they also offers 1 lakh worth of scholorship every year
There are fests, annual prize distribution for academic ,sports performance there are also book fairs, all festivals like lohri and holi are celebrated by gathering of students in ground or auditorium

Dislikes

There is not much anything to dislike. Students can get problems due to timetable as sometimes we don't have a free lecture.
Unwanted charges before exams is one of the bad thing of college
Many parties do unfair activities to win. May be its just to enhance rhe knowledge and competitions skills but sometimes students do wrong things but as i said the students who arent well disciplined are rusticated from our college. Our college has g

GOOD COLLEGE BUT LESS PLACEMENT OPPORTUNITY

Placement Experience:

There is quite less number of placement opportunities for the students till now there is only one company visited icici bank that too was not of our field I would pursue with MCA degree by clearing the NIMCET2022.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Those were easy since I pursued my CA along with B.com, so It was easy to score in b.com. The teachers here were good and supportive. Passing in exams wasn't difficult at all. All you need is a bit of consistency and be attentive to the lectures.

Placement Experience:

In my last year of college, many companies visited for placements (I don't have the exact number). B.com students are not much interested in placements. Most of the students want to continue their studies after b.com so not much relevance is given to placements by b.com students. Big four firms arrived for placements but being a first-year student I was not eligible. Package offered is around 3-3.5 lpa. Me along with many other b.com students wanted to be CA. So prepared for CA exams after completing b.com.

One of the best college under panjab university in the tricty

Placement Experience:

Although companies do come to our college. The placement rates are almost nil. So I think one should keep that in mind while joining any course in the college. But if one choose right course and the one which interests the person then you can look forward to geta job in the market as you will definitely learn ample amount of things in the college to get you a job once you get out in the real world.

Great Campus of SD

Placement Experience:

After 3rd semester the students are eligible for the campus placements and got opportunities to showcase their talents in the various campus placement drives. Average packages are around 5 lakhs. Around 60% students get jobs in the reputed companies like Deloitte, HP etc.

Placement Experience:

As per placements are concerned the records are not too good but the number of companies that are visiting college is increasing every year, Like icici bank and Deloitte. The maximum package offered to the freshers is 4-5lacs and these are pretty well suited as per cost to study. Many students go for higher studies and many go for government exams. I am also planning to do mba after my college ends.

GGDSD college- A sightful

Remarks:

One of best college for commerce education under panjab University. Very good and highly qualified faculty for commerce education. Good summer internship and placement including companies like Deloitte, ICICI bank, L&T construction. Also becaus eit is in my hometown.

Memoir of GGDSD Chandigarh

Remarks:

GGDSD is a very reputable college in Chandigarh. It is under Punjab University which was a very major reason for me to join this college. Also there are only 5-6 govt colleges providing BCA, from which GGDSD college is the best. They have very good infrastructure for IT students which includes of well Air conditioned buildings, well educated professional teachers also computers for all students in different 8-10 Labs.
