Remarks
GGDSD is a very reputable college in Chandigarh. It is under Punjab University which was a very major reason for me to join this college. Also there are only 5-6 govt colleges providing BCA, from which GGDSD college is the best. They have very good infrastructure for IT students which includes of well Air conditioned buildings, well educated professional teachers also computers for all students in different 8-10 Labs.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have a good interest in the field of IT and digital design media which made me choose this course. Teachers maintained very seriousness in teaching students even the students were very interested in studying the course. Also students were more inclined to studying instead of wasting time and teachers as well as students were aimed to get more excellence in this subject.
Internships Opportunities
Yes. College has dedicated placement department which train students to be job ready by the end of the year.Most of student had been placed at reputed organizations in good designations with good package.
Placement Experience
As every year a lot of companies visit our college and 90 percent students every year got placed with good package. lowest package is 3 LPA and the highest is 31 LPA. Around 90% of the students were placed last year. Average salary offered is 5-6 LPA.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees structere of govt college is very affordable for all the students. Even the college library provided students with computers as well as books. Faculty is also very cooperating with students in helping them to shape up their future. Private university charge as much as 8-10 times of the fees which are charged in the govt universities
Campus Life
Social life is amazing. One can meet different students from different backgrounds. GGDSD college had a good diversity in the cultural background of the students as many belonged to different parts of India as well as Foreign countries. There are good well maintained canteens, library, theatre, playground for students to socialize. Also they hosted alot of different events.
Admission
Yes. Students were given admission based on their merit. All students class 12th results were checked and then after a short interview was done on which they checked if the student is available for the admission.
