Should I go for CS in MSIT or ECE from MAIT?

First of all, both the branches differ a lot from each other. Thus, you need to understand which branch you are inclined to. Also, keep in mind that you can change your field from ECE to CSE but not vice versa. So, choosing CSE can get you an advantage in many ways. My friend is currently studying CSE in MSIT and here’s what his experience says. Dedicated faculty: Most teachers are well experienced and really enjoy what they teach you. If you have even smallest of the doubts, do not hesitate as they will assist you whenever you need them. Especially in the CSE department, teachers are really cooperative. Infrastructure: If you visit both MSIT and MAIT, you will find that MAIT has a tad bit better infrastructure. Location: MSIT definitely has a location advantage as you can find various hangout spots around the institute and even the nearest metro of Janakpuri East is just 5 minutes away. On the other hand, MAIT lacks proximity to metro and hangout spots. Placements: While both the colleges have great placements, the CSE branch will get you better packages and increased opportunities, like any other college In India. According to the recent placement data the highest and average CTC offered at MSIT is 47 LPA and 3.6 LPA. For MAIT the average and highest CTC is 3 LPA and 28 LPA. All in all, both MAIT and MSIT are reputed private colleges of Delhi. The biggest thing that makes the difference here is the branch you choose. No doubt CSE has an upper hand over ECE as mentioned above.

Should I take ECE in MAIT?

If you have an interest in ECE, you should go for it. Always give your interest your priority more than the reputation of the college. There is no confusion or doubt that MAIT is a good college but if you are not interested in that and opt for IT at MSIT. Factors like crowd, placement, staff, facilities, and exposure also matter. Advantages of ECE in MAIT: They offer great placement opportunities where you can sit for both IT and CSE job interviews. They have an incredible faculty, well educated, and highly experienced. The attendance rules are not as strict as in other colleges. ECE is a great branch. It provides you with core knowledge and also gives you a practical insight into the subject. You get great government job offers. You can go for an MBA without any fear of attendance issues.

How is the placement of ECE at MAIT IPU?

One of my cousins is an ECE graduate of BVCOE (IPU). Here are her two cents about the placement at the institute. Placement records of MAIT IPU are quite good. However, it depends on whether you want to pursue a core ECE job or an IT job focused on programming. It means, obtaining a core ECE job would be quite difficult because there is little to no company that would offer a core job on the campus placement. Although, if you are looking for placement in an IT company, then your chances of acquiring a good placement are fairly on the positive side. More essentially, nearly everyone gets a placement, if they are from the background of CSE, IT, or ECE branch. It is because they are usually considered more competent to fit in IT firms such as TCS, Infosys, and several others. The average package has been recorded to 3.50 LPA whereas the highest salary is 28 LPA. Thus, if you have scored 70% or above with no backlog history, then the chances of you obtaining a job in any IT company are good. In addition, if you are good with programming, then your chances of getting placed in top IT companies will considerably be more.

For the first year I paid 196000 and for the second year iPad 1 lakh 36000 there are many scholarship for EWS categories which app provided every year by the college as of now I haven't heard about any scholarship given to any ST SC OBC categories but there is a form every year for EWS category for the same.

An insider perspective

My yearly fees is 153900. Total amount of fees for four year b.tech course is 615600. It includes tuition fees, devlopment fess, alumuni fess(10k,one time). Collage provides good amount of scholarship for sc/st students nearly 1 lac per year. Student who have got admission through management have to pay upto 20 lac fess for course, amount varies as per brach example for cse it is about 20 lac. EWS scholarship is also there for those who need this.it include amount between 10k-40k(depending on academics performance and family background). Fees increases every year for new enrollment only, my juniors are paying 183000 per year fees for b.tech.

starting fees for first semester is 1,86,000/- this includes freezing of seat and first year fees along with textbooks which include pyqs and question bank. for the consecutive years it is 1 lakh per year sc st reserved seats fees remains same for management, an extra of 10-12 lakh is to be paid for seat reservations

MAIT Experience

Course Fees(approx) - For 1st year its higher around 1,65,000 (including tution fee, labs fee, examination fee etc). for 2nd, 3rd and 4th year it ranges between 1,42,000 - 1,48,500 per year. Additional expenses such as book bank for accessing updated and newly printed book will cost 5,000 (refundable). If you get back in any exam you have to pay additional amount of approx 1,200 for retest or if you want to get youyr copy re-checked it will cost 2,000 (approx). Hostel Fee (per sem) - 1,00,000. hostel is avalable for boys only within the campus. Scholarships are also available.

My fee structure was like around 1,33,200 /- but for upcoming freshers it get increased and for first time I had to give 10,000 more for security and book bank purpose but that was totally refundable.

So i paid 10000 rupees for registration. After which yearly i have to pay 145000 fees. Making it a total of 580000. Apart from this i have noticed ghat the fees for the freshers this year has increased. But my fees has remained constant.

MAIT DELHI- A underrated yet great college

The yearwise fees is 95000+90000 that makes total of 185000 total fees for an year. each and every student of 1st year have to pay the same fees. the above amount includes all the fees that is caution fees, registration fees, etc. Hostel charges depends on what room do you take. for single seater non AC total fees is 190000+ 20000 security money.

the fees for the first year was 165000 . 145000 was the tution fees and rest 20 thousand was the university fees. for the current year the fees is hiked. as of my knowledge they are paying nearly 200000 for the first year and 185000 for the remaining 3 years. our college also do addmissions on management basis. as of my knowledge my friend from management had paid 10 lakhs for ece. there is no fee wavers for sc, st , obc.

THe fee for the first year is almost 173900 it includes registration fee as well and after the first year from second year it is almost 153900 per year the overall fees for 4 years is around 6 to 7 lakhs which is quite decent . Their are scholarship facilities for EWS students and students with not a very good financial background.
