IPU Introduces 24 New Courses for Academic Session 2026–27; Expands with 9 New Affiliated Colleges

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), also known as IP University (IPU), has started the admission process for the 2026–27 academic session. Along with this, the university has announced the launch of 24 new academic programmes at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. The online application process will begin on February 2.

The last date for submission of the online application is scheduled for 31 March 2026. For most programmes, candidates will be assessed through the GGSIPU Common Entrance Test (CET) 2026, which is tentatively scheduled from 25 April to 17 May 2026. Registration details for CUET-qualified candidates will be released later.

New Courses and University Expansion

The newly introduced programmes focus on emerging and job-oriented fields. These include areas such as artificial intelligence, robotics, data science, law, medicine, design and special education. The aim is to match academic learning with current industry needs and future career trends.

In addition to new courses, GGSIPU has also expanded its network by adding nine new affiliated colleges. The university has further announced plans to set up an offshore campus in Guyana, marking an important step in its global expansion.

As per the university, nearly 40,000 seats are available across its university schools and affiliated colleges. Out of these, around 4,300 seats are offered directly through university schools and centres of excellence. Currently, GGSIPU offers more than 230 undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, along with PhD courses in 22 different academic disciplines.
