Scholarships are given to children with less than 4.5 lakh family income in which tuition fees is relaxed.
A 3g iit, my college is provided with very brilliant professors, who had experience of teaching at 1g iits .
Campus is overall enhancing and beautiful and i love the beauty here

Dislikes

Work To Build Sports Complex and New Academic Block is running
Small library unlike other IITs and same menu in all mess
Old pattern course that cannot fulfill future demands of skills required

IIT JAMMU: A growing culture of education

Likes

The campus is beautiful, nice environment.
The air is clean, people are good and friendly.
We get extra time to persue our further interests

Dislikes

The campus is quite small which was not expected.
Transportation facilities are poor and city is far distant.
Not much to enjoy outside as college is in remote area.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible after the 7th semester to sit for placements. Placements are nice since the college is newly built. The highest package offered last year was 52 lacs and Avery was 15 lacs. I want a job to fulfill the needs of my family.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good for top branches only like CSE, MnC, and EE for branches like mechanical and civil placemets are just satisfactory and while choosing lower branches you should think twice before choosing.

Likes

The views are good and everything is modern
You can go do self study at various places in academic block
There are nescafes and a canteen on campus to eat

Dislikes

The location of the campus is 20 kms from main city
Operational campus area is very less as of now
70% attendance policy is very harsh as it is very cold here

Placement Experience:

7the semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies are tata Microsoft Mahindra etc and the number of offers is generally very good. 85% placement rate. My plans are to study further about automobiles.

IIT JAMMU: An emerging institute for Indian welfare

Likes

The campus is beautiful, clean and fresh air, pollution free environment
The facilities provided are good and more than expected.
The seniors are helpful and like friends

Dislikes

The campus isn’t completed yet work is in progress.
They focus on academic much more and ignore sports.

Placement Experience:

One is eligible in the 7th semester for campus placements. Many companies visit our college for placements mainly tech companies. The highest package was 52 lacs last year and the average package was 15 lacs. About 97% of students were placed last year. I wanna pursue for higher degree after B.Tech completion.

Opportunities here are very good because it's a new iit.
Every Faculty here is a Ph.D. which is very impressive

Dislikes

Campus should be bigger and facilities should be given more

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester you are eligible for campus placements, the campus placements here are very good considering it is a new iit. You don't need to worry about your placement being a Cse student. Big companies like Amazon, Microsoft, etc. Have also recruited from here

Fest, cultural programme and workshop conducted by guest teachers
Faculty members are really helpful for doubt clearing

Dislikes

Campus is small but is under construction.
Ground is ok. But separate ground for cricket is not available
Transport is a great issue here.finding a bus is a really hectic job

IIT Jammu Placements 2023 is in progress & till now 85% of the batch have already been placed. IIT Jammu highest package stood at INR 53 LPA whereas IIT Jammu average package stood at INR 17.6 LPA for the B. Tech students. 129 recruiters participated in the placement drive.

A brief review of iit jammu

Likes

Every students get quite good opportunities which is not possible in 1 g iits
Faculty to student ratio is quite good in the college
Seniors are quite good here and ragging is close to no here

Dislikes

Lack of sports facilities in the college
Small campus is quite a big con for our college
Citylife is one thing which we lacking of since college is in outskirts of jammu

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible after the 7th semester for placements. Last year placements were quite good Various companies like Graviton, qualcomm, microsoft, and intel came for the placements highest package was 54 lac and min was 6 lakh.

Campus life you can roam 24*7 anytime anywhere
Clubs, mostly clubs are run by students
Sports facilities is really good for every sports coach is available

I did counselling accordingly I got chemical engineering which is my course, 5:1 is the student-faculty ratio, highly qualified professor and the teaching style is really really good there are total 4 exams two class tests one mid term and one end term

Campus is overall enhancing and beautiful and I love the beauty here

Placement Experience:

After clearing the 6th sem they are eligible and 120+ companies visited and 200+ offers were made highest package was 53 lakhs an average of around 18 lpa and 83% of students got placement. My plan is to get a decent job and package then after my own business in 3-4 years

BEST 3rd Gen IIT

Likes

Lush Green Campus, Environment is Excellent.
Infrastructure here is very good among other IIT's.
Faculties here is very supportive. Crowd is less So chances of get opportunity is also very high.

Dislikes

Mess food is Not Much good, Don't expect much
Class test's are very frequent students not able to get much free time for extracurriculars.

Placement Experience:

IIT JAMMU has very good placements stats as compared to all other 3rd gen IITs. The highest package Offered in the year 2021 is 52LPA for BTech and Median Package for CSE is 21LPA. Almost 83% of students get placed. The Overall median package of Btech is 16LPA. In MTech Highest package is 45LPA and the median is 25.5 LPA. The top companies visiting are amazon, Microsoft, sprinklr, indeed, Samsung, and Qualcomm.
