Eligibility:

75% marks (65% for SC/ST) in 10+2 or secure top 20 percentile in 10+2 conducted by the respective board.

Selection Process:

The admission to B.Tech program is done through Joint Entrance Examination - Advanced (JEE-Advanced) rank and administered by the Joint Admission Board (JAB) through centralized counseling conducted by JoSSA at the all-India level.

Candidates can apply online for the UG courses through JEE Advanced. Candidates applying for any of the B. Tech. programs offered by IIT Jammu are required to ensure fulfillment of basic eligibility criteria with regards to the percentile of marks obtained in the last qualifying exam, prior to filling the application form.

Candidates cannot apply directly through the institute’s website. They need to first apply for JEE Main and then for JEE Advanced in order to get admission in the institute.

The Tutiton fee is around 1lac and it increases by 7% annually. If your family income is between 1-5lacs annually, then you have to only pay 1/3rd of the tuition fee, and of it is below 1lac then your tuition fee is 0. Merit-based and financial needs scholarship is also provided.

The total Fee for Btech Course is 12 lakhs for general students, Which includes all types of fees mess, hostel, tuition fees etc. There are various scholarships for students based on their Income. I think It is similar to all other IIT fee structures.

IIT Jammu Review

Fees and Financial Aid:

As a comparison to other IIT colleges in India, the IIT Jammu college fee is quite reasonable around 5.25 lakh for the B.Tech program. The college provides good placement packages around average salary package is approx 12 to 15 LPA which is a very good return on investment. The college also provides scholarships on a merit base and scholarship plus financial aid is also available for SC/ST.
