Remarks

Admission was through Jee Advanced it is a very nice college and the hostel facilities are also good placements are decent The package is around 25LPA and the highest package is around 60LPA Overall a good college to choose from.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is a little tough but the faculty is very nice and there are regular doubt sessions as well as extra classes held at regular intervals it is quite difficult to pass term exams and you have to study hard in order to get passed.

Internships Opportunities

Major recruiters are icici, hdfc, graviton, amazon, Mathworks, and other tech giants. Roles offered are data scientist, SDE etc. Stipend offered varies from 50k to 200k per month which is good as a 3gen IITs.

Placement Experience

Placements are good for top branches only like CSE, MnC, and EE for branches like mechanical and civil placemets are just satisfactory and while choosing lower branches you should think twice before choosing.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are very high and there is no scholarship provided by the college there is a policy that there is a 7% fee hike every year which is a very bad policy and hence I think there should be less fee as it is a govt college. My fee for my course is 150000.

Campus Life

Sports facilities are quite nice every sport is available for you to play but you have to practice hard in order to get selected for the team also regular sports events are held on campus also extracurricular activities are good.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are nice as compared to other IITs rooms are spacious and clean there are double sharing rooms here also a new hostel was built just now which has singh occupancy AC rooms which is quite nice.

My opinion about nit

Likes

I like the diversity and culture of college students come from all states each festival is celebrated with fun .
The infrastructure is good providing facilities like library, amphitheatre, auditorium etc.
I like college ground where we can walk and relieve from academics

Dislikes

College infrastructure can be improved in rainy season there is water accumulation at many places , water drainage system should be there .

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester student become eligible for placement. The companies visited are L &T for civil which is big company and select many students, jsw for mechanical and increff , paypal , microsoft, visa ,make my trip for IT and CSE

Likes

One thing I liked about my college is Huge campus area.
Other thing l liked about my college is good infrastructure

The thing I disliked about my college is delay in your any complain

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements in 8th semester. Companies like L&T construction, Ambuja cement, tata , wipro, jio , Berger, infosys, IBM and many more visit the college. Highest package is around 17 LPA and average package is around 5 LPA . Almost 30 percent students get placement. My plan is to get off campus placement.

Likes

College's weather is too pleasant and the air quality is also good
The environment is also very good and also the view is very nice
Seniors are very friendly in college and also the college has strict punishment for ragging.

Dislikes

The hostel food is not upto the level that a student expect.
The facility sometimes does not able to connect with Students
Hostels are very far away from the department and students have to move very far from the hostel

Placement Experience:

The placement of our college is Average and the students are eligible in 7 semester for placement. If the student has any backlog in any of the semester they can't sit in the college placement and also it has minimum criteria of 6.5 cgpa. The percentage of students getting placement is very low sadly

A comprehensive Review

Likes

Firstally i like in my college is hostel it is located in college campus .
The second thing like in my college is campus area located in between mountain.
the last thing is about one teacher he help me in everything.

Dislikes

The first thing i do not like is transport in my college it is the major problem in my college.
The second thing is there are no proper lectures everyday one of them faculty is absent
The last thing is not a proper medical facielities

Placement Experience:

The placement at my college are fairly strong, with a focus on proving opportunities for student in both technical field and non-technical fields. various reputed companies visit our campus for placement like TCS, infosys, and many more.The highest package aroun INR 40 LPA. the majority of the offers are for cybersecurity. My plan is for business after the degree.

The faculties are top notch and very supportive and helpful
Campus life is good because it is very large campus area
We have isro and drdo in our campus which is a very good thing

Dislikes

the university is still under construction
their is limited access of resourses as it is under construction

On based on jee advanced rank IIT jammu was better in among all college which I fill in jossa counselling. The admission process is clear jee advanced exam and gat a decent rank in jee advanced. Cutoff varies...Read More

i got this college based on my jee advanced rank , i applied for some better iits but my rank was not upto it . i got 3778 obc rank which got me electrical branch in iit jammu. i also got 5431 obc rank in jee mains that was giving me chance to get cs in lower iits or electrical type branch in nit kurukshetra or other iiits , but i chose iit over iiits and nits beacuse of branch name ....Read More

Jammu is the heaven so is this iit for your better future

For me cleanliness, environment and healthy life is very important and also I got a seat on iit on my first attempt so I had taken this course and currently I am graduated and doing perfectly fine and not regretting my decision. Also my rank was not very good that's why I got rejected from other old iits I applied for. I applied in all old iits and also to nits and to some IIITs too.
