Jammu is the heaven so is this iit for your better future

Good things is that they offer minor courses for us where we can choose extra courses which we may find interesting and yaa not only that interdepartment projects can also be chosen which is very strange but don't seems relevant.curriculum earlier they were following of iit Delhi and new curriculum is not very exact and relevant because sometimes there are some unnecessary courses and no point of learning that course which forcefully imposed on us to take this course as it comes under institute department courses and are mandatory which is not so good

I got the benefit of merit cum means scholarship which generally awarded to top 25 percent students in every iit where we don't have to 1 lakh tuition fee and also tuition fee is 1 lakh per semester and other 25 to 30 k per month for other charges

Udyamitsav was our main cultural event whose earlier name was Renao and from last year both culturand and technical got combined to udyamitsav, classrooms were very well equipped with all the necessities for smooth learning. Almost all types of clubs were there even some anime clubs were there but mostly were very passive.

New hostel which we alloted on our last year was very good it was of 7 floor with 700+ accomodation all being single rooms with AC, yaa AC are there but not same with the old hostels which is quite good compared to other iits old hostels. 20 thousand is for food per semester and 14 thousand for hostel.

For me cleanliness, environment and healthy life is very important and also I got a seat on iit on my first attempt so I had taken this course and currently I am graduated and doing perfectly fine and not regretting my decision. Also my rank was not very good that's why I got rejected from other old iits I applied for. I applied in all old iits and also to nits and to some IIITs too. Admission process to get into these prestigious college is only through JEE advanced exam which is very hard but with determination, perseverance and hard work you can definitely get into good college.

So all professors did their PhD from abroad from very renowned instituted all around the world so no doubt they are so talented but if it comes to tracing just knowledge doesn't applies so both good and bad professors were there and mostly of them were boring i mean the way they teach us just so vague

There is no nightlife near college as it is on the side o NH-44 even not night life in city itself. Mostly dhabas were there and honestly tastes were very good of some restaurants but prices was very high, some spots we used to go there was Punjabi dhaba, route 44 and parasram. All are very near to our college.
