i personally choosed this as this was what i was getting based on my rank in jee advanced . course curriculum is pretty outdated with only some industry relevant courses , if one wants to enter in core they can learn good , but for it sector , you have to lean it by yourself ., much can be improved in curriculum , by adding courses of technologies needed in current job scenario and dropping some unnecessary ones . teaching can be made more practical rather than making it only for marks , students are focused on passing rather than learning . 4 exams per semester with moderate toughness.

2nd and 3rd year students have many opportunities of interships if they have required skills they can get really good interships in national and international companies which can also be converted on ppo based on their performance . stipend goes from 15000 to even 1.8 lakhs per month , this semester one 3rd year student got intern in microsoft also, many goverment based interships are also available to interested and skilled studnets . they get internships for software roles , data science , and some also get for core roles,

from 6th 7th semester students do internships and can get pre placement offers or can sit in campus placements from 7th 8th semester . main companies visited are microsoft , samsung , nvidia , qualcomm,scalar , infosys etc , highest offer what i heared of is 80 lakhs from some core company in dubai , average if 12-14 lakhs , average of top circuital branches is 18lakhs+ . about 60 % students get placed , some go for higher studies some for government exams for government jobs . i aspire for a good job after my btech , then grow in my job profile and start my startup and offline business .

1st sem i paid 116000 as instituteand hostel fee and about 46000 as mess fee , in 2nd sem i paid 24000 mess fee and 127000 hostel and institute fee and now onwards its quite same as 2nd sem . for sc , st there is no tution fee , that is 100000 completely weivered , other mess and maintances fee is taken , if family income less that 5 lakhs then for obc and general people also have fee weiver , less that 1 lakh , full fee weiver . mess fees is same for all.

we have main fest Anhad fostering many events , other smaller events like convoqour , pahal sports events etc keep happening all year round . our library is pretty small , even smaller than school libraries , one new is being built , but that too is not as good we expect in an iit ,, limited books are available . classrooms are ac centralised, fully furnished , good lighting , sound bars , tech support , screens . all kinds of sports are available , weighlifting , football , cricket , badminton, volleyball etc with good coaches and equipments except for a ground . many student run clubs are there , coding , robotics , kritash (social wellbeing), adventure and many more clubs.

room is pretty small , with double sharing , each student have an almirah, table , chair, bed . meal quality is good but not the taste , menu is pretty varied but lacks non veg food. hostel fees is 10000 per semester , which i think is pretty affortable based on cleanliness and wifi they offer .

i got this college based on my jee advanced rank , i applied for some better iits but my rank was not upto it . i got 3778 obc rank which got me electrical branch in iit jammu. i also got 5431 obc rank in jee mains that was giving me chance to get cs in lower iits or electrical type branch in nit kurukshetra or other iiits , but i chose iit over iiits and nits beacuse of branch name .

i dont really know exact data of ratio, but its not crowdy here , so you can easily talk / communicate to faculty , they are available in class and their office to tackle all your doubts , if a student really wants to study he will not face issue of not getting enough interaction with teacher. i just passed the first semester , i liked calculus , cad , and organic chemistry faculty , because of their way of explaning and efforts of explaning things , in calculus i had kaushik dhara sir, cad sarah mam , and chemistry chauhan sir . i didn't like english , beee faculties as there way of teaching is not what i like , even if i give full attention i didn't understand their content .can't name them . i gave 4 exams in first semester , 2 class tests , mid sem, and end sem . exams are moderately tough , if one solves all questions of tutorials given by teachers he can easily score good marks . about 5 in class of 40 fail to pass . course curriculum is pretty ok , some good cources but mostly old syllabus is followed .

i personally like to chitchat with friends in night in my room , or we watch some movie or series , , being in jammu our college has some good scenery , one can have a good walk around the campus , good gym , nescafe , other canteens like grandstand also available for hanging out after classes, based on interest students involve in theie sports in evening time . everyting is off around 12 pm , except nescafe . you are allowed to leave hostel anytime , but for campus 11:30 pm is the upper limit . many cafes inside and also outside , restaurents etc are safe and good to spend time .
