IIT Jammu B.Tech EE Fees

The B.Tech Electrical Engineering programme at IIT Jammu follows the same fee structure as all other B.Tech branches. For the 2025 batch, the tuition fee is INR 1,00,000 per semester for General/OBC-NCL/EWS category students, while SC/ST/PwD students receive a full tuition fee waiver. 1st sem i paid 116000 as instituteand hostel fee and about 46000 as mess fee , in 2nd sem i paid 24000 mess fee and 127000 hostel and institute fee and now onwards its quite same as 2nd sem . for sc , st there is no tution fee , that is 100000 completely weivered , other mess and maintances fee is taken , if family income less that 5 lakhs then for obc and general people also have fee weiver , less that 1 lakh , full fee weiver . mess fees is same for all.

The policies are good if you are from the weaker section of society. We have waivers and scholarships. Students have benefited alot from these schemes. Some paid projects are also there which you can think of as stipend under many professors The courses are affordable but the courses offered in the summer term are not .

Course curriculum is little bit oriented toward Mix Subject of EE and EC

Fees and Financial Aid:

Tution fee I think is somehow in more compare to other government colleges. They increase I think 5-6% fee every year. The tution is around 1 Lakhs and hostel fees around 15-20 thousands. Total fee is around 1.5 lakhs excluding Mess fee. Mess is 22000 for all but some part of it get rebate in the end of the year. Also they provide total tution fee wavior for lower class students like SC/ST. And they also provide tution Fee Wavior based on your family income. Full Tution fee Remission for students who have Family income less than 1 lakhs . 2/3 tution fee Remission for stundents who have Family income b/w 1 lakhs to 5 lakhs. Apart from that they also provide MCM scholarship according to your Perfomance.

The fees of the institute are about 1-1.5 lakh per semester but there are no fees for reservation candidates and ews candidates and the fees of the institute are increasing per year by about 4-5 k. you will get an institute scholarship or merit cum means scholarship.

There is no hike in fee. Even you have to pay fewer fees while being more and more senior. You get some relaxation based on income criteria. There are many scholarship schemes the institute provides but you can choose only one. You may get an education loan. Placements are pretty good with an average of 1800000 INR per annum but it differs from department to department.

Tution fee per semester is 100000, the overall fees of semester go additional of 15000, due to inclusion of charges of the library, labs and other services provided by the institute, but over this our institute also provide income-based fee waive on tuition fees, so if your family income is less than 100000 then there is complete waive on tuition fee and if it is less than 5 lakhs then there is waive of 2nd/3rd amount of tuition fee. The stipend is also provided by our institute to selected ones.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Very good faculty to student ratio. Most of the time we find ourselves doing some projects, so practical knowledge of students here is awesome. If someone from E.E. wants to get placed in a software company he can sit for their placements session too. Placements are good here.
