The NIT Srinagar review

I would rate curriculum 8 out of 10 , my curriculum have subjects like DOS , geotech , highway engineering, water resources and one elective subject which are very conceptual subjects and help in solving real life problems by making our mind sharp.

There is many opportunities of placements in college , many on campus companies come to hire students companies loke l &T , jsw ,psus come for hiring for civil engineering and many startups come to hire students which give chance to students to sit in interview.

I pay around 80000 per semester , I pay around 18500 hostel fees per semester and mess fees also 20000 per semester, the fess for other categories like sc , st and obc is generally less like around 40000 per semester. There is scholarship for first year students having income less than 1 lakh.

Range Chinar and techvaganza are two main fests of this college which invites huge participation from not and other colleges life NIFT too , 2 day events are very exciting. There are many clubs gere like technology, photograph, cultural club etc.

Hostels are spacious and have table for studying and light for each bed have lights for students to study at night , mess food is average and hostels are given during admission process only and hostels are affordable with around 18500 per semester.

My jee mains result made me choose this college I was selected in this college through my jee mains I got around 91 percentile and got my seat here in civil branch , a particular cut off is announced every year which students clear a d get admission here.

The civil branch faculty is quite well educated the faculty I like are RP Shukla sir , sofi sr , vivek sir who teaches subjects like geotech , DOS , Highway .There are 4 exams each semester 2 mid term and 2 end term , exams are difficult in my personal opinion.

Gym are there for girls and boys which are seperate , a big central library is there havi g ma y books , one canteen and one cafeteria for eating purposes , current hostel timing for girls is 8 30 pm and boys have no timing and college in tome is 7 pm and pass should be taken to ho outside , campus is safe to roam outside.
